I picked up my Firebird last Friday, about 9 months after I dropped it off at Dany's garage. I never expected them to work this slow and to see the amount of hours they wanted to charge me. I hired a lawyer after Dany stopped responding to me and the last two months were a slow negotiating period. They dropped a lot of hours off the bill, but it still was a lot.
The car runs Ok, it's just idling rough still. It's on a desktop tune from TX Speed and Performance, but I'll get a dyno tune when it's back in San Antionio. Hopefully that'll smooth things out and get max HP from the engine. Now I'm just trying to break it in and change the oil before it gets shipped next week!

I am glad to hear that you were able to get it worked out to some degree. So, in 9 months all they did was install a motor?
If it makes you feel any better, I am at 10 months and still going........
I will keep an eye out for you cruising around.

I will keep an eye out for you cruising around. That was the big part. They disassembled the short block because they wanted to debur the block, then I agreed to upgrade the fuel system. It now has an external fuel pump, two filters and steel lines; but this added a month and a half! They also rerouted part of the wiring harness in the engine bay, because part of it was getting burned by the exhaust; but I told them not to do this back in November because it was taking too long already. At least you're working on the car yourself! What's your progress?

I have everything (including the motor) right now. I am currently still making the engine bay pretty, but if I take much longer I will just have to throw it back together and finish it up in the States.

Once you plug those holes and paint it, everything else can be done later on. Thanks Ben! I was going to try and take tomorrow off to go to Nurburgring, but now I'm not sure it'll happen. Looks like rain all weekend too.

I (we) should have gone TODAY. No rain. But I decided to do other things... Now I'm hoping for dry weather at least on one of the following 3 days.

I'm not sure what they're doing on the F1 track, but the north loop is open all weekend. I may try Sunday afternoon if it's not raining.
