Hi everyone,

I have found this site today and it looks that there is lot of interesting info here. I am from the Czech Republic and a I am big fan of american cars, last 3 years I have been driving 1989 Colony Park as daily driver (not any more, some troubles with transmission and no free time to repair it). One of the future (within few months, not next week:) possible daily cars for me is 98+ V6 camaro (another is Chrysler 300M and then some European cars). That is why I would like to ask you this question - I have not found enough information about European versions of 4th gen camaro. Unfortunately because of the laws here in Czech Republic I can register only car that has "European homologation" or national homologation from any state of EU (as for example Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis in Germany) - that is why I am only interested in the European versions. Is there any source of information about the differences between US and EU version, production numbers any others related info (for V6 and also V8)? And other thing is - is it possible at all to get for example rear fog lamps and such stuff that are used only on European versions (tried to find on eBay, or RockAuto but no success)?

BTW: presently I am in Bayreuth, Germany and I am passing some nice F-Bodies every day (two 3rd gen trans ams and one 4gen camaro). Is it not by any chance someone of you?

I had a european version Camaro some time ago ... IIRC, the basic differences were:

- probably different H4 front lights
- adjustable headlights (height adjustment from the cockpit)
- foldable side mirrors
- Firebird seats (for the adjustable head rest)
- rear fog light
- possibly different rear lights (though I guess the US and European version may be the same, the Japan version differed?)
