Can someone please PM me, I need to get my car re-registered in a couple weeks.

I've heard some places are less stringent than others, I didnt have to deal with this last year, One of the guys on this board that I bought the Camaro from got a nice stamp on the inspection without fixing all the issues.

I guess he just doesn't want to get screwed by a system that doesn't use equal standards for all cars, no matter who does the inspection ...

You should try Baumholder. When I bought the TA it had a crack in the windshield and did not pass. Got a new windshield and brought the car back and they never came out to look at the new windshield to see that it was fixed. Exhaust is loud and they never said anything about it.

judging from your windscreen story, that has more to do with them trusting you on your word when you said you got a new windscreen then being strict on the rules

if my techinspection guy asks me if my brakes are good, and i say yes, he doesn't check them, that has in my eyes much less to do with being strickt on rules, but rather trusting my judgement.
But on the other end, if i say they are good and they are not, and he gets an inspection, he looses valuable points and i can not show my face there anymore, so i only say the brakes are good if i know they are good  it works both ways
