...when there were endless discussions here about nonsense BS as well as technical stuff.
...when we met in December (2001 or 2002) and some came with their F-Bodies with summer tires -- in the snow. :-)
...when we had this legendary drive with Stef and his Audi RS4 from Bitburg to Spangdahlem base.
...when we had meetings at Hockenheimring or Nuerburgring and had fun with our cars at the track. :-burnout:
...when this forum was full of life.

:(

Trying to be a hobby racer has gotten real expensive . I'll be the first to admit that money is a real big issue . I seem to never have enough for living , which means not much left for the hobby.

I agree concerning my track meeting example above. But I don't think this is the main reason that this forum is basically dead...

BTW, next Sunday ---> HOCKENHEIM! :)

That is true. There is only a handful of members that post. We are also very spread out across Germany, Holland, Poland, England and Italy also which does make it a little tough to come together for a meet or scenic drive.

I can put the effort forward for a couple activity events in the summer.

Some of the main posters left, like Hawk. Several of the others, like myself, had to come back too. I'll sure miss Bitburg next summer.

I will try to play on the 1/8th here at Minot:-(( maybe....maybe.
Also those of you left in Germany have to carry the torch... Meet and greet! Weather shouldn't delay a plan if a lot of people are on board. I remember last year...('10)...wow, so many engagements were cancelled or not really pushed out like it used to be. Go bumrush a city with the V8s, not trips have to involve racing etc. Money??? what money??lol i feel the pain(stateside paycheck) hell, throw a picnic in one of the parks... with music and Barbeques. i know K-town has a big park down through Vogelweg....just saying guys.

Damn,...do I have to come back to Germany to bring my baby (FBE) back to life?! Sad to see it die off in the last couple of years. Happy New Year to however.

Garry,

Things are great! I'm sitting here in my FL home watching the playoffs and enjoying th weather. :) I still miss Germany and hope to return before 2020.

Oh, I'm retired now so life is even better! No work yet as I've only been retired 3 mos but I plan on not working for another yr or so and just relax and travel w/ the wife who is also retired too. :D

So how's it been besides being cold over there?

Cold? Temperatures just went up by ~40F over 2 days ... ;) Still enough time left in the winter though, so probably more snow earlier or later ... thankful for two days without snow anyway ... ;)
