Well, just 2 parts away from breathing new life into the Z. I will update the sig soon. A new change to the game thou, I was telling the wife that I think the Z will still be the daily driver, cuz the 5.0 is just that much faster than the camaro. She agrees, by word, and by refuseing to ride in it!!! :)

I found out about a chasis dyno here, so I'm really looking forward to posting some numbers soon. I think on motor, the Z should be around 380-400rwhp, add another 75 for gas. By the time it is running, and tuned the tracks will be closed for the year :( , so it will be next year before I take a run at the 11's. Just one time, I'm going to go full slick and spray out the hole just to see what this b$tch will do! Either that, or see just how good my AAA membership is. :-ok:

Peace
Rob

I have talked to the previous owner several times, and to the best of his knowledge "no" it hasnt been dynoe'd.

I've been meaning to go to the local dump (fitting place to take a Mustang huh?!!) to get it weighed with me in it. Reason being, I believe it weighs around 3000lb (title says 2800lbs). I also think it has about 250-290hp (pretty broad huh?)

I'm saying it is faster than the 'maro because in the 1/4 it will leave harder and run quicker. If I was still on the A-bahn then no. With the 4.10's and T-5's ratio I would top out about 110-125mph.

It rained me out this week, so I couldnt go to the track, so I have to wait for next week. The 1/8 (I know, its for hippies, huh Jeff :) ) is open until mid Nov. I really, and truely believe that it will run a 8.5 or lower on motor.

The biggest thing everyone forgets, is that the Fox 5.0 has a 4 link suspension. You put that togethor with a 8.8 rear , and you can put 5k launchs with 10" slicks all day.

Go check out stangnet or the coral and you will see over and over 1.7 or less 60' times.

I've really been scared to G-tech the 5.0 because I'm afraid it just feels fast. But just to be sure, I've already sunk more money than I care to admit into it.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh dont tell the spousal unit :-ok:

If my wife would let me get another toy I'm thinking Harley or a boat.

Rob if you ever get a chance I know this guy at bragg who's putting out 600 to the wheels with a mustang same body style as yours. He dropped a 351 and has a hell of a lot of mods to it. Your right that light car and a lot of after market places who design mustang part at good prices. I'm not a mustang person but you can get the old 5.0 to straight up run. It was definatly a good edition to your household.
