Well I sent that nitrous kit back so now I'm left with a custom nitrous cam and I'm not sure if I even want to run the nitrous. But if I do run nitrous, what kind of kit should I get? I was thinking about maybe getting a fogger kit. Since I am going all forged anyway, I can safely upgrade the nitrous. I have found a fogger setup for 150 hp on ramchargers.com for under $650 and the next kit up increases it adjustable from 200 to 500 shot for around $815 or so. What do you guys think?

Well, what I suggest is reading the posts in the nitrous forums of cz28 and ls1.com There is no substitute for experience....
I would say with the forged setup, you should start out with a single say 150 shot. If this is not enough you could go with a second stage to even the gap... Remember, you are going to be making some mad power with the stroker, might even be as much as a LS1:) So try it out, before you go spray happy.....

Well I was thinking that too, but Tony already bought that damn nitrous cam. I could put that $800 toward some good heads. Or a nice 200 mph speedo (GP at Granatelli for $325 this month).

Well sell the cam and recoup some of the money... Put the cash into suspension mods my friend... Traction is what you will be needing......

Dave take two deep breaths and think about what you want to do this will save you alot of grief. We are just trying to help you out? Tony has a Cam Kit and the computer and intake are not there yet?

Well I just got off the phone with Tony. He is basically busting his ass trying to beat the deal I found for the short block. He said he would price a nos kit too (he said it was simmilar to a fogger setup). We will wait to see what he comes up with.

The hands down winner if you look at what most people chose, and by the posts on most boards is a NX wet kit. Tbody plates dont work well with LT1/LT4 intakes (although people do use them ie Compucar/TNT), NOS dry kits seem to be a close second, but dry is scary atleast to me. Fogger (If I understand the term) refers to the carb setups, which would be real similiar to the shark nozzle offered by NX. The biggest problem, is finding a suitable spot on the rubber bellows to anchor it. There is really only one good spot, and its difficult to install it securely. If you do go wet, I would suggest getting a TB airfoil, or a TB w/airfoil. The stock one looks like it would puddle fuel (bad).
The venom kit relys on your O2's which are hardly accurate to begin with, so I think it is best left with the import crowd it was designed for.
When you add up the price of admission, as well as the piece of mind equipment, a N20 kit is going to be about the same price as your stroker kit. Something you will definatelly want to have planned out in advance.
If you think your going to need 150-175hp shot, you might want to consider a better cam/head/port combo, and jet down to 75-125. JMHO, and I dont know what your goals are, so its hard to armchair quarterback.

I would say learn to drive the stroker and then upgrade if you want.. For now all you will be doing is saying I have this or that. But you will be hurting yourself with all that power if you do not know how to control it.......

Year i think that´s better to learn how to control it.I mean it sounds stuppid but it is like that its a different if you have a 200Hp Car or a 400Hp Car.You never know how the car react.

Thanks for your opinions guys. I have ideas about what my end goal is and this setup is basically it. I agree with you George 100% about getting used to the 396 first because it will be a signifficant difference from what I have now. Hell I will probably be 100% happy with just the motor. But the end result is that I am basically either stuck with that custom cam or take a loss on trying to sell it. I'm not venting on anyone just stating the facts.

I call official bull puckey Dave. You have been bit by the need for speed bug. You will be 100% for about a day or till you get beat whichever comes first and thats a fact. I am the same way though. Your NOS cam will work with what you are getting but you should be able to sell it pretty quick if you know you do not want it. You should think about the end result first. If you drop me a email and tell me what you want. I might be able to get you back on track.

I am going to worry about the engine swap first and foremost. Then if there is money left, I will worry about doing nos. More money on heads/intake makes more sense than that same money on nos. I can keep that custom cam for down the road.
