You have never talked me out of it. I told you- if someone offers me the money, it's GONE! :)

Gone, but certainly not forgotten. I can always buy better parts. Those headers needed to be replaced anyway. I need a good set of Dynatechs.

I guess the guy had a local come pick it up. If not, he's gonna email me, but for that price, he'd be crazy not to. :( Oh well, I have time.

Gunnar, contact Billy Grahams Camaros in the US. He is a salvage yard that deals only with 4th Gen F Bodies. I bet he has a used engine you can get reasonably which would reduce the duty on it. Then put it in yourself. Order this book from Amazon.com and there is a chapter in it that tells you how to do it.

How To Build High-Performance Chevy LS1/LS6 V-8s: Modifying and Tuning Gen III Engines for GM Cars & Pickups
by WILL HANDZEL

It shouldn't cost you that much to get it running again.

So, I today I closed the Fbody file. The body is sold.
Garry was right. The companies which my mechanic Roland and I called (independently) were not really interested to buy the Camaro. They offered only peanuts.
The engine block was heavily damaged: two holes on one side, each the size of my fist. The floor pan also damaged beyond repair, full of debris. At least two conrods broken (on the lower bearing and somewhere in the middle), but not the bearing bolts. It is hard to say what caused the engine breakdown.

Afterwards one is always smarter than before: Now Roland says, he would never change again only parts of the rotating assembly.
Roland and me came to a financial agreement and that’s it.

He will part out the car, as it makes no financial sense for him to buy another engine.
You can call him for parts at 02389 531028 (http://www.kikenberg.de)
A friend suggested to put in a very common 3litre engine from Opel to sell it. I think that was a freaky idea.

The car looked slightly stupid with the light nose showing up, but still a beauty. Nice statue for a park.
I am not too keen to see it falling into pieces now.

I know that most of you will not understand, but I had to draw a line and end this. I already had this idea before the engine blow, but now it was a much less comfortable situation.

Still got the PA Racing lower a-arms (chrome moly) and the Global West upper a-arms with Delalum bushings here. For pictures see Thunderracing.com!
I paid 495USD for the lower a-arms and 275USD for the upper a-arms (shipping and tax not included).
As a package I would give it away for 300EUR+ shipping within Germany.
Using the upper a-arms alone will give you about –2degrees camber, not advisable.

Sorry to hear you let it go - hope you can pick another one up some time soon ... and have more luck with it ...

The car is in Bergkamen/ Rünthe near Dortmund (see http://www.Kikenberg.de).

I am not looking for someone to blame. It was my fault when I did the mis-shift.
Now, that its gone I feel somehow relieved.

It will take some time (and money) until I can look for another cool car.
My priorities have shifted over the last three years anyway.

If I can find some time, I will add my story how I came to want a Camaro.
