Hi,
when changing my PCM settings, I noticed I can disable CAGS/CARS there, so the CAGS plug I got is left over ... it's a professional quality plug, using OEM connectors that go in between the cable and the transmission. Works great, doesn't trigger any SES light or anything ... should work for any T56 equipped 4th gen I recon ... ought to work on Corvette C5, too ...

has that something to do with the "skip shift" gasguzzler function of the gearbox ?

With your driving style, Jeejee, you should not get the PCM to activate the CAGS
Apart from that, it's sold ...

PCM tables on the LSx control the min- and max-points of the CAGS solenoid activation ... on mine it's:
Speed between 24 and 32 km/h, throttle below 25%, coolant temperature over 77* C ... I recon with the LS1 coming from an F-Body, it's probably the same on your PCM ...
