Well, the time has come. I must part with my rental and move on to the states.

A house like this is very hard to come by and it took us a year to find.

To start with it is in Weilerbach. It is about 7 miles from both Ramstein and Vogelweh. It is a detached dual family home that has been converted to a SINGLE family home. It is right at 200 sqm (2100+ sqft). This does not include the full sized basement and storage or the garages!

The best part (for me) is the car storage and parking areas. There is a double length tandem garage with direct home access (no walking outside in the rain to get inside). The bonus is that it even has an electric garage door opener! Our Suburban fits without a problem even with all my tools and storage stuff. It is double deep and extra wide. I can actually open both big Camaro doors without hitting the walls. It has electric, lighting, a workbench and multiple storage areas for tools/supplies.

The other garage is detached oversized 1 car garage. The Suburban will barely fit in it.

There are approximately 5-6 off street parking areas. Only 1 of those have rock...the others are paved.

The yard is perfect for grillin' and entertaining. It is fully fenced and pets are allowed. There is a covered patio on the lower level and another on the second floor overlooking the back yard. There are 2 floors for living and a basement for storage.

Back to the house....it is very well proportioned. The living and dining room are huge and so is the main bedroom. In our bed room wee have a full oversized set of furniture along with a loveseat, large entertainment center and 2 large closets/shrunks.

In all there are12 rooms. We figure it as Kit, Din, Liv,Pantry room (should be a 11'x11' bed room), a computer room, 2 full baths, and 4 bedrooms.

The house is currently renting to us for ONLY 1350 euros and that includes all of the parking and garages.

I wished I was stationed over there....I'd take it from you! I'm looking for a house here with a nice big garage, but I'm not having much luck.

We had 5 families look at it today already!

It looks like it is rented. We will find out for sure this Friday when they have to put the deposit in.

Damn, that garage would be nice to have. I have to share mine and walk up a mountain to get to my house from it.

Yeah, I will miss the house setup with 3 garages and 2 "car parts rooms".

However, the house we are having custom built in the states will have a 5 car attached garage....no extra parts rooms though

A FIVE car garage? Wow.

.....plus I added 2 extra feet across its width. It is just under 1100 sqft total. It sounds good, but I know it will still not be enough for me. The wife just won't believe me.
