I know its a big car but it does have something like 370HP from that supercharged V8.
I was going up the dual carriageway when I saw the XJR put the power down. Initially I didn't play and the XJR eased up. I caught up and confirmed from the badge it was an XJR.
The damn car was in the outside lane and wouldn't let me past.
I followed for a few miles to the slip road where I was turning off and then jumped on the gas down the inside of the XJR. Obviously the XJR took off but my acceleration was better.
Lynne (my wife) said the XJR wasn't trying, but why else would the XJR accelerate to well over 100?????

That would have been nice if he would have let you pass. But you are right, you don't accelerate to over 100 if you ain't tryin'. Just another Ford though.

A friend of mine has a US spec S type which he has so far declined to pit against my Z28. He's just ordered the new 400bhp S-Type-R. Again, I have offered him the chance to come along to the drag strip and put his 400 horses to the test but he still declines. Guess we'll have to find some lights..
