Coming home from Koln yesterday with the wife. I was just cruising in the fast lane at about 100 MPH. I look in the rear view and see a dark red Jag, new with two little hood scoops on the hood. I never noticed them on a Jag before but I never really looked. At first he was trailing me about 6 cars back for a few K's. After a bit he rides up on my rear and gasses it and lets off, gasses it and lets off. So I speed up to about 110 or so and he keeps it up, so I down shift to 5th and hammer it. I walked off of him fairly easy. After I put a few bus lengths on him I slow down to see if he was really trying he catches up rather quickly so I know he was into it, I let him get on my a$$ again and hammer it again, but this time I dint stop at them end of 5th, I shift to 6th around 130ish and keep in it he is fairly far back there by this time, I look down at the speedo and see its past 150 and I let off as there is traffic coming up. He pulls up next to me in the other lane and looks at my car like "What the hell is that?" and drives off.

I dont know what kind of Jag it was I seen the XJ but I didnt see what number it was. It looked damn new though and was a nice ride.

LOL. I bet he was surprised as hell. If he would have known it was a Chevy, he would have felt bad for sure!! ;) Nice one!

If that Jag had air scoops/grills in the bonnet it'll be the superchagred 4.0 V8.

If it was the long saloon with boot it'll be the XJR. If it was the sporty coupe it'll be the XKR. Both nice cars, but very heavy and expensive.

They kick out about 390HP, but the power isn't delivered the same way as a Chevy V8.

Nice to kill a very expensive car though!!!!!

It did have two hood scoops on each side of the hood. It looked like just about every other newer Jag I have seen except for the hood scoops, I never seen those before. Thanks for the info, at least I know what I was up against.
