So here I am minding my own business with a couple of friends down town when this guy in a stock looking LS1 rolls up with 2 other camaros... long story short words were exchanged between the two groups and we were off to settle things once and for all. I first drew up a 95 LT1 with some minor bolt on's and a wing and smoked the shat out of him..... not to much competition there... but then his friend wanted a piece so I told him we'd race back to town down the interstate (I know dumba$$!) anyways I had no clue what he had done to his ride... I never even looked under the hood... he still had the stock exhaust bolted on so I figured I'd show an LS1 what was up........ well I was slightly wrong.... we took off from a rolling start of about 10 mph and I left him standing there.... he began to catch up slowly and then all of a sudden around 80mph he left me like I was driving a Geo Metro! Well as if that wasn't bad enough right after we had begun to slow down what do I see on the other side of the road.... you guessed it 2 state troopers! Long story short I walked out of the deal with a tick for 15 over and a warning for careless and reckless driving and for street racing! I met up with the guy at the parking lot in which we had started and asked him if he had gotten nailed.... he did but got nailed for 20 over and got the ticket for street racing! That's also when I found out he was on the bottle for a 150 shot! All in all a pretty crappy night!! But I still think I came out on top......... Dang how I miss the A-Bahn!

One of the reasons I love Germany. Ican't seem to get aticket if I wanted to. I can't even count how many times I've blown past the poleizei here in Germany. Now when I catch up to one I 'll pace em then hit em with the loudmouth. They could care even less .

Radar detectors don't work against light beams .
Plus there is so much signal noise going on that they are practically useless when there using photo radar .
If your traveling in Germany why would you need one ?
Hope this explains a little

Nor do they work against induction loops or laser detectors ... Plus, they're not legal (of course), and they warn you just in time to smile for the picture
Just stick with the limit, and hit it when there's none ... a lot safer, and a whole lot cheaper ...

I thought that some radar detectors will detect beams, of course if they shoot you directly its too late, but if your fuzzbuster is on and the cops beam someone 1/4 mi ahead of you you will have time to slow dowm same goes for photo radar. Am I correct?
I remember when I was stationed in Maryland they had photo radar. But my car was registered in Michigan so I didnt need front plates like they do in Maryland so the camera's couldnt touch me. I used to go through the tunnels on I-95 and just laughed when I seen a flash. Never had a ticket while I was there. Also some states dont send tickets to other states, so you wont get anypoints added to your licence.

Another tip I've been told, notice on the usareur licence test on of the ?'s talk about not bending or mdifing your plates and they must be in the middle of your bumper? I've been told that if you cover your plates and sticker (bottom left cornor of window) elamination tape, then when you have a 'kodak moment' on the auto bahn (or else where), the elamintion paper will cause the flash to blurr out your plates and stickers.
Does it work? Don't know. Haven't tried. Although it does make a little since.
