I was coming back from Landstuhl Monday going up the road towards Miesenbach when I had to stop at the first light cause it was red. While I was waiting I heard something that sounded like a lawnmower revving beside me so I look over and I see this little red supra pulled up even and was revving like he wanted to race. I thought what the hell, light hit green and I punched. I was already half way to the next light before he got across the intersection. I thought maybe he was just that slow, got a bad start, whatever. Well the next light is red so I stop and see him pull up again, had no intention of going again but I wanted to give him another chance. Again the light turns green and again I left him way behind. NOW The funny part. I get up to the next light and its red. I had burnt the other guy twice now and wasn't worried then I hear that lawnmower again I look over and this guy is lokking at me like lets go, guess he was trying to impress the chic in his passenger seat. I get to laughing so hard at the fact that this dude wanted to go again that I didnt notice the light go green. He shoots off the line and I was just going to let him go til he got his front bumper about two feet infront of mine then I decided let's be evil  . So I hit again and imeadiately put about one and a half car lengths between us and kept going til I hit the speed limit(70 kmh). He eventually passed after I quit accelerating. The best part was I never broke the speed limit. You think maybe the guy just sucked that bad or was this just dumb luck?

I'd give it a shot. Sounds too easy though, even for my trucks. Was it a new one? If so, that guy needs to learn how to drive.

There are plenty of non-turbos about but maybe he just sucked. Maybe he just wanted to see a real car accelerate. I used to goad Porsches when I were a lad with a crap car, just to watch them catapult away.

If I don't hear a turbo spooling or something to that effect, I won't even waste my gas. :P

What do you mean waste your time? It's good "reaction time" practice. Besides, I love hearing my Flowmasters every chance I can.

I said gas, not time. I couldn't care less about the time, but I have to fill up more often with each new mod. This thing can suck down some fuel- let me tell you.

I guess it kinda was a waste of gas but I haven't done any racing in four years or even any real showing off that matter. It did help my reaction time some and the main thing was I just had a lot of fun :fruit: so I think it was worth it.

Well, when my car was running, I literally used up all of the fuel allowance for each month. That is just way too much money.

How many liters do you get a month? I know what you're talking about. When the SS was new I would use up all 400 liters for the month plus more from my other registrations. I blame that on my right foot being deformed. It instantly gets bigger and much heavier when I sit behind the wheel. I'm glad that the Esso is doing that SWOP thing. I got all kinds of free crap from them.

Dude- that is the exact same problem I have. I like the bug, because I only fill up like once every 2 weeks. Now that is what I call fuel economy. ;) My wife can go a whole month practically with the GTI, unless I drive it. :P
