I know what you mean, and I certainly wasn't there, so I am not gonna say anything, except "you win some, you lose some"! :)

Too bad you won't be here for Bitburg this year. Then we could ALL see it! ;)

We can arrange a rematch earlier just for that. I'd like to see how the SS handle's a Blown Stang. Interesting race I bet.

If the weather holds up on 3 April, we do the Trial in Bitburg on this day.

Means we need a few hands for the measuring and setup followed by 'testdriving' on the track with timeslips to see if the light and all works right.
Pictures (and results) will get posted.

No Jack it's not Ray Tillman. There is another blown cobra rolling around w/ fat meats out back. Looks to be a 01-03. He put the SC on after he bought the car. The are a few blown stangs running around 4-5 to be exact.

tHEE ss CAN NOT KEEP UP WITH A BLOWN STANG. INEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH A SS. TYPING IS BAD BECAUSE I HAD SURGERY. BUT ANYWAY IF THEE SS IS STOCK IT WILL LOSE. AND I DONT KNOW OF ANY SS THAT CAN BEAT RAY. MY SET UP ONLY PUSHED 5 LBS OF BOOST AND I WOULD PUT 2 CAR LENGTHS ON A SS.

All a SS needs is sticky tires.
Does depend on the year of the stang though...

roy i know no one track races enough. i have no doubt that a camaro will out handle a stang but in the 1/4 the field is a little more level.

An older 4.6 needs a lot of boost... I know, at least on the 1/8th mile at Pirmasens.
There was a late '80s Saleen that put up a for sale sign in his window after I got through with him. BTW, that was when my car was bone stock. I must admit that there was one 'charged 5.0 that outran me.

If Mike beat me running only 5 lbs of boost, he would have annihilated me with any more. It took everything my Z had just to finish the 100th or so it was behind him.. My car is easily a mid 12 second car on the right track, so it would not take much boost at all to beat a fairly stock LT1/LS1.

Okay lets see what we have here.
Lets go with a 5.0 with a supercharger
versus a ls1 relatively stock.

5.o probably got at the most 325 at the crank super charged. Ican't seee a 100hp increase on a stock engine and live on pump gas. Imay be wrong

Ls1 lets go 305.

I 'd say it is all up to the drivers on this one. at these hp ratings.

Yeah, you're right Roy. Mike's engine was far from stock, too! I actually did pretty damn well. I think he was running a 360ci. then.... :D
