So i was coming back to base and I'm getting off A-62 on to A-6 out of nowhere this SRT-4 was riding my ass I'm like f*&% it. I was reaaly nice out so i had the T-Tops out so I didn't feel like racing just out for a nice cruise before I ship the SS to guam. Anyways. . . . . I pull on to A-6 about 60 in 3rd and this tard pulls up next to me and looks at me and shakes him head like you got have "He said POOP". Ok cool guy lets see how that little turbo runs. Three honks and we're, off I drop it in 2nd jump on him like a car and hit 3rd to like 105 nothing special. I had to move in to the left lane cause of traffic and this asshole in a van cuts me off, so i slow down and the guy in the neon was like cars behind me. We get around the van and this truck I get over to get off at my exit and he finally catches me and just keeps going. . . . . . . ohh well hopefully he learns that its still just a Neon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I personally thought that they were faster than that.

They are pretty quick, but it would take a few mods to beat a stock-lightly modified SS.

They're not bad for a Neon, but they aren't that great either. I had one get very mad at me at Bitburg last summer. I guess it upset him when I tapped the brakes just before the lights just to make sure I didn't break out. He was really kinda nasty about it.

You see the seats in those things?! Man why couldn't GM accomodate us like that? They hug the hell out of you. Quality is so-so but so what? I just have re-upolstererd or stick in fine cow leather.

That goes to show his sportsmanship and what he knows about Bracket racing. He lost before he got started.

BTW who started first.
When I was heavy into Brackets . I would bring my non prostock bracket machine out . it was a 92 ford escort . It was the bracket terror . Nobody wanted to run it. This beast would ripp the 1/8 in 12secs flat evertime with about a 3/100 dif on each run. I loved it , my start would consist of 3 -5 seconds head start on every body. used a two three position switch to control my lights, so they never Knew when Iwas using my brakes.
Thes best part of it though Is that I had a/c .

I should do that with the Bug. I could dump the clutch at 5000 and not even break the tires.

He left first, I don't remember by how much. All I know is that he was far enough back that I was worried about breaking out and I had plenty of room so I tapped the brakes just before the lights. I guess he didn't like seeing my brake lights.
