Up front I know I do not have the fastest car in Germany.
I am located in Bamberg and I drove all the way to Bitburg this last weekend with a car that hasn't seen more than 25 consecutive miles in a year. I was worried about burning plug wires with the new headers. About 50 miles before Bitburg I notice a whole convoy of Mustangs. I moved into the fast lane because they were going about 70 MPH and I was doing 90 MPH with the cruise control on. They all stared at me when I drove by. The lead car was a 96-98 Cobra with German plates. I was just minding my own busniess and I was saving the race for the track. Once I passed the Cobra I pulled into the right lane again. I looked in my mirror and here comes the Cobra. He passes me and pulls in front of the Z. Now my car is loaded down with tools, hydraulic jack, parts, and my drag radials. Well, I decide since I was only 50 miles from Bitburg I would go ahead and see if the winter mods works. I switched off the cruise and pulled up next to him in the left lane. We both floored it and he hung with me for about a second then the LT1 just started pulling on him hard. Then I would slow down and let him catch up and we did this for about three runs and I decided that I was getting bored. I got out in front of him again and pulled in the right lane where I wanted to be in the first place. About that time 5 other Mustangs from his club passed me with him in the lead. I guess they just wanted to be ahead of me. Well, being the only F-body out there I was not going to be lead to Bitburg by some Stangs. So I pulled in the fast lane and I slowly went to the front next to the Cobra. This time when we went I waved at him when the Z started leaving him behind. The next time I saw them was at Bitburg about 1/2 an hour later.

Nice read. Hmm wonder why they didn't post this on their board?
Would've been nice if you had some help but you took care of it Mighty well on your own.
