OK, I was in Hockenheim on Thursday but could not go with my Z28 because the street in front of my driveway was blocked due to construction works (or something). So I took the R5.
I met a friend there with a '85 (I think) VW Scirroco, relatively stock, just 120hp. Suddenly I spotted a dark blue Z28 with chrome 16" wheels, stock exhaust, manual shifter. I talked to the guy in the car and asked if he's from this forum. He said he isn't but he knows it. Then he started talking about how his car goes from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and that it's perfect for the track... or something like that.
Didn't reply anything but thought "Let's see how well he does on the track". OK, "race" started and after the first corner my friend and I in the Scirroco passed him and he was getting smaller and smaller in the mirror, hehe. I found it funny that he didn't come nearer even on the straights... I guess he couldn't drive... but he could talk... Didn't see him again afterwards...
Ben

That's nothing! I got killed by a riced up VW Golf. He just didn't let me know we were racing. The light turned green and he barked his tires and hauled ass. In downtown Landsthul, so I just let him go.
I felt bad. For about 3 seconds

Yeah that's right, would have been even worse (for him) if I had the Z there...

If his suspension is stock (which most german registered Camaros will be), I don't think he should even try running Hockenheim (or any other curvy road, for that matter) ...

Good one Ben. Hmm. I bet he may just come visit now and see why his car is so slow getting munched on by a V-dub. I should've come out there thurs I had nothing to do. I just hate the idea of Thur being the only day for public racing.

SRZ:
Yeah I was looking for your car there... Next time is 29 July.
Garry:
I guess he was stock, but he had American (HK...) plates, not German.
