So I decide to go for a SHORT autobahn ride, from here to Enkenbach-Alsenborn, for a little fun. On the way out there, it was kind of boring, except for some older 2 dr Mercedes thinking he could hang. He was by no means slow, but I totally left his ass behind when I hit the end of restrictions sign. On the way back, I am passing some cars, when all the sudden I see a motorcycle behind me, like he wants to pass me. Well there are a million cars in the right lane, so I just speed up and pass them. Up ahead there's a slower car in the left lane, so I slow down and drop it down to 3rd (Good thing I went back up to 6500 with the RPMs). Well as soon as that car gets over, I punched it and he did too. He was right on my ass, but I wasn't about to slow down with a car in the right lane about 100 meters ahead. When you're doing 150+, that is like an inch. So after a couple KMs of this, I get over and he slowly creeps by me. All the way to the Ktown West exit, I was right on his ass. He only pulled on me ever so slightly. Every time he had to hit the brakes, I could smell mine cooking. He turned off towards downtown, and I didn't get a thumbs up or anything. He was an arrogant cock with too much pride to wave to a car that outweighs him probably by a factor of 8. I was quite pleased with my performance. It was a pretty big bike! Definitely not anything less than a 900cc. VAL- I definitely need those rotors!
When we got to the exit my brakes were smoking they were so hot. I got back home, and noticed a couple blue rings around the rotors.

Just some cheap ones from the auto parts store. I know I know, but up until today they've been good to me. Val is selling me his current brake setup when he gets the new one, so hopefully they will last me for a while.

Jack,
the brakes are yours!! They (the pads)should last you a good while unless you plan on riding them like an old lady. Hopefully I'll have the new set up this week, then it's just waiting on the spacers which should ship this week. Then it will be on you when you want me to put them on you ride. Nice job on the bike!!!!

Tango for the assistance. As far as the States go, Candyman, some places are as high as 70 MPH. And yes, I will miss it, but I certainly won't miss the blown engines.

heh, dont sweat it jack, you get around houstan, dallas, San Antonio, any big city and run 70-75 you will get ran over. Flow of traffic baby, and there are plenty of days its moving. What will take getting used to, is unlike Germany EVERYONE is gonna come off the traffic light like it was a 4/10's tree.
