My first time .. with a porsche

Benztown, today, 20.00

Saw that Carrera 4 before me. He went the hill from UFA cinema up to the main street, right lane, me behind, he fast, me slow. He revs up on the traffic light, I think "idiot". We both turn left and drive the main street down to the main central station, right lane. Good street, straight 2 Lanes. Me 100m behind him, the other cars come slow down the road. He goes hard to the left lane, I roll to the traffic light and stop on his right side. Both we look rigid forward and both we are smiling like morons. He revs up hard, I switched my automatic to "2" and rev very chary - Ok, look behind, look down the street, look right the other street, no green/white cars with blue lights. Yellow, Green..... Ram the pedal to the metal .. nothing happens, carrera moves I see in the eyelashes, what the .... little whine from behind, hood rises and mehhooooooowwwww, with 2 metres distance I follow him .... and then he have to shift, and I pass him very fast (I scared how fast .. there where no chance to brake when something had happened), he lost 1 car lenghts, I hold the pedal down, my auto shifts and it accelerated harder, I win more distance ... after a few seconds we have to brake for the traffic ... he turns his car very very hard on the traffic island and bark away his 6 banger in the other direction and I feel ... proud of my chevy, guilty (all the now the street down driving people from the traffic light we started from look at me, and I .. I laugh like an idiot)....

I feel so ...

proud

guility

overwhelmed

dizzy

my chevy

my Z

proud

my V8

my ...

guilty
..

My first time ... I am no "traffic light race virgin" any more .. ..

so proud

guilty

dizzy

...

My love - my Z - my proud - my feast for the eyes - my love

I raced a Porche in my old Black Z28 from the light. I had on my drag radials and I jumped him from the line. I was ahead until the top of second gear and then he pulled on me. Damn turbos! I had the nitrous hooked up with an empty bottle. I'm sure he was proud. Where is he now that I have a newer and alot faster car? I need revenge!

Grrr, I need a videocam now...

I don´t know how fast we drove, but my automatic shifts two times, the distance is est. 400-600metres, we brake after the shell petrol station before the central station - who stuttgart knows know where I mean. While his second manual shift he lost his edge..... so do not slate me ... blame him ... or the car ...

I see forward for the next carrera .. maybe he wipes my ass ... or I win again .....

Hey Lupo_Z28,
now you alledgedly have an EVO and a Porsche on your score card (with a "slushbox" transmission). WOW!
Why don't you come to Hockenheim on the 16th so that you can show (in front of witnesses) how fast you really are.
What Roy tried to say is "stop talking cr*p!"

Hey, i didn´t mean to pick on you.
My V6 would not even beat a Boxter... ;)

And videotaping street racing is no exactely good idea, but you´ll bring for sure a smile to the cops face if they find that tape in your car... ;)

Well, I do *believe* Lupo this time as the Porsche driver apparently couldn't shift properly and an A4 Camaro always shifts right, so it's possible... why not... 8)

But anyway, Lupo, I'd like to see your car in Bitburg (last for this year is October 2/3) or Hockenheim (e.g. today or September 16). :)

Ben

Ahh, the first who read that I got him while he shifts ... on the serpentines the automatic is dangerous ... now I see the real ascertainment of the Z ... traffic light fun.

Hockenheim ... I do not think that I get 2 days vacation because I have a new project to start.

Bitburg ... relatively sure ... I wait for danix (he wanna go also, but is now the next 2 weeks in vacation). But yes, it should be possible that I find the way alone .. or is somebody from stuttgart there?

Hmm, thats like "I show mine you show yours" :P

Peace
Lupo

You don't need 2 days of holiday for Hockenheim. The fun starts at 17h00 on Thursday evenings. Now put your money where your mouth is and be there at the 16th.

Hmm 2slow throws the gauntlet ...

Should I take up a gauntlet from somebody I do not know what car he drives .. Mine is a 00´Z and yours ?

But first: You are not somebody I know from FHTE Esslingen I hope, or? Fahrzeugtechnik, Wirtschaftsing. last year 2001-2002?

I can´t give a OK now for the 16th ... but you make me curious. Your interest is winning ... hmm ... I should be careful. Weissach ... I should be really careful ...

Your gauntlet lies here ... I think about to agree ... chevalier. It must be your car ... no car from the carpool weissach ...

You forgot the :P :P :P By all competition be :P :P

The 4 S is from my colleque and I can only follow as long as it is a straight lane.

The Carrera yesterday was a win_by_shift ... or as it named

The Evo ... puhh no clue ... in retrospection the risk was too high ... possible he have had more brain then me

But, now I have sombody named 2slow ... in weissach ... no info what car .. design engineer ... so I can think about somebody that moves often with no cost on the testtrack with his full loaded 911, a real 911, and knows how to handle this thing. Or maybe a sleeper car, like a Abt RS6.... so why should I take up the challenge without think before. He knows from my car more than I know from him ... he´s even a newbie here - so took in consideration that it is somebody waiting for the chance to offically handed a chevys ass ..... nonono ... first see, than take up the gauntlet, so bitburg - hockenheim I can´t say if possible.

I am to old to run blind into a challenge.

Lupo, you are between a rock and a hard place!
You claimed to have an EVO/Porsche beater and have been challenged to prove it. If you chicken out and don't show up then we will know that you are b/s****ing. If you do show up then you must back up your words. Tough decision.
Cheers
2slow

ps: you don't have to race me, you can pick on any of the F-Bodys at Hockenheim. It will be Val's first time there, maybe he wants to take you on.

I don't understand why you all are being so cynical towards this guy. He's just relaying his excitement through these posts. I think some of the meaning might be lost in the translation, but it's all in good fun. I'm sure he has better things to do than to come on here and post a bunch of BS. Who knows, maybe he's a semi-pro/pro race car driver. Who are we to judge??? :?
