must be nice, however I was getting at the $155 apiece cost for some kick ass tires that can be daily driven during the week, and kick ass during the weekend.

I wouldn't want a tire like that on my daily driver, though!! Talk about serious tire hitchhikers, getting
off and taking some paint with them!!! :)

Yes, of course I did! Any tire with a treadwear rating of 100 cannot be considered a bargain buy, really, as far as daily driving is concerned! Like I said, if it's strictly for weekend racing, that's awesome. I would be replacing tires every 5000 miles with a tire like that, and to me, that's just crazy.. :) That's not even to mention all the paint that I would lose from all the rocks, and other road debris, hitting the paint around the fenderwells! These were hardly a bargain, but I just "had" to try them out...

With these SO2s, I lost a bunch of paint on the GFX, and the treadwear rating on them is 180.....

sorry about your paint experiance with the SO2's, but I've been running Nitto DR's for some time, (when it was running of course) and I havent had any rock slinging experiances. They also have 100 tread wear (wonder why, its the same tire just shaved):) How many miles have you got out of yours Jeff?

You could always try a tire with a 600 tread rating... J/K :)

You probably don't drive 150+ MPH every time you get on the highway, though, do you?? :p That's my problem, but it is definitely worse with stickier tires... :)

Yes, I did. The Nitto's are great for high speed blasts, I didnt think they would be so stable. I have about 15-20K miles on mine. They are about gone, but they have served me well and hook like a $5 whore when I need them to, still do. They have came through for me for many a street race. I wont buy any other tire than the Nitto DR for the rears. As for the front I dont care, they are just along for the ride!:D

This is what I was getting at. I have DR on the back of both cars and wouldnt change for the world.

BTW I've never been 150+mph Jack, I have a LT1 remember ;) only about 118mph in the 1/4 :-ok:
