If I read the two pages correctly, that's the result of one season of AutoX with two people driving the car (yes, an MR2) plus some commuting ...

look almost as bad as the ones I had on my ralleycar once,
and for some reason one of my corolla tires - always the same - got close to that look, while the other three were still fine.
