Hello you 3 musketieres
We need to do some brainstorming for details at the Slalom/AutoX side.
Got a few phone calls of interested american drivers the past few days, James posted on 1on1 that he accepted a job in Wiesbaden and will be back...
I know most people talk about the quartermile, but at PCA-Time we could not accept a big number of interested non-pca drivers, and past year I think that they just thought there was no AutoX after the PCA quit.
So the AutoX might have been a stepchild past year, that does not mean I will forget about it. Let's found a stable AutoX-Section, make plans who may be able to be there and when, infos around set-up, times, etc. so I can announce some more to the public.
I thought since all your (family) time is precious, how about using the "chat" function on the weekend? No travelling, but we can communicate in between the few interested and active people at the same time, even James might be able to join the discussion.
What do you think? Suggest a time.

@ Roy: Sounds great.
The title on the poster 2005 basically says:
Quartermile, Slalom and Club Meets
1on1-motorsports.de
Gewerbegebiet/Flugplatz Bitburg on B51
-the six dates and event titles below each other
as shown temporary on the 1on1 site-
info email and contact phone number
a larger center picture, and propably 8 pictures, 4 on top and 4 on bottom of the poster about different scenarios, at least one will show a slalom course, maybe birds view.
any more text or info needed? any suggestions?
in the handouts we can include more and specific information

Silke,
I have written a concept for a "King of the hill" challenge, which is a mixture of Auto-X, Road Course and Drag Racing. I have mailed the draft rules to Roy and he also liked it.
I have built a timing system (that will hook onto Gary's electronics) and a PA system (to save our voices).
The timing sheets and other paperwork is done.
I also have 100 new pylons to supplement the old pylons stored at Bitburg. I still have to figure a way to transport them from Stuttgart to Bitburg.
I still have to buy a few 2way radios, a chair and folding table, then we have everything.
Attached is a short version of the rules:
1on1 MOTORSPORT KING OF THE HILL CHAMPIONSHIP
The 1on1 “King of the hillâ€

Thank you Roy.
... I got some input from Roy, and he got some info from me.
Stef, I can transport the pylons with the small trailer, sometimes around easter (got 3 weeks left from 2004) and at that time we can check if the 2-way radios I got would do the job.

... that didn't take long ... what were we joking when he left how long it would be?

Squirrelina, Roy, & Stef,
Sorry I couldn't respond earlier, I've been in the field training students. Roy sent an e-mail with the rules and it looks
GREAT. As stated above I really think the Salom could really take off if the word gets out. Still up in the air if I will make it to the APR event due to work schedule. Please let me know what you need or I can do. On the flyer is there any way we can put some pics or pic of one of the cars actually "in action" on the course??? That might help drive the point home.
Jason, will you be around longer or are your departure plans still the same???
Val

I posted the flyer in "Bitburg News"
found 2 ! pictures with a car in slalom-action, both that Corvette (leaving the PCA pictures from 2003 to the side) and of course used the best one.
and: the paid job comes first
