Hockenheim will be open this Sunday April 3, from 10am to 5pm. Don't know if I'll be there... maybe...

I'm done with Hockenheim, I can outrun anything and everything that turn up on tourist days. No challenge any more. All I do is tear up some very expensive rubber.
Nordschleife..... now we are talking!

Sure? I remember a very quick 964 from Stuttgart, and two (red and white) 993 (or 964?) that were also incredibly fast...
But you're right, Nordschleife is a different story.

Roy,
there were a bunch of SRTs there, not only stock ones but also Stage 2 and Stage 3. I was surprised how slow they were, I mean they did a couple of sessions, so they should know the track. But I guess they all were too afraid...?
Was a wonderful sunny day at Hockenheim. Not too many cars on the track. What makes me especially proud is that I beat a buddy with a Corvette convertible (you know that guy that was in Mainz-Kastel) at the track (and he knows the track ), I guess his EMT tires didn't help.
Oh and those brake ducts work GREAT! Even at the end of a 30min session I could brake almost in the same way as at the beginning.
I also got a ride in a 2m02s Kadett. Incredible.
Lupo:
No success so far. Anyone knows an Dodge SRT board similar to fbodyeurope.org?
Ben

Hi Roy,
in think they don´t trust into the power of their cars. A lil´bit dangerous to drive that slow on the course. But I am really interested to buy such a car in the 300hp configuration with a shifter as daily/weekend race car.
These SRTs where really loud and the stripes on the hood promised more. But they were also careful und let enough room. My english is still too bad to feel comfortable to speak with the drivers afterwards.
My Z runs good even with the automatic and with Ben always in sight (hey, you have had an advantage and your own instructor on board). Yeep, the corvette was an surprise.
Done a hardcore test for the brakes: Brake later than necessary after this 240kmh part (with an un-oh on the lips). The movits are that strong that the blood goes down the feets when brake from 240 to 50 with all possible force - and no ABS or blocking tires.

Heck, they don't bother ... their german might be worse than your english, so don't worry ...

Hi Garry,
I am shure that they understand with some humor what I talk. The problem is that I have real problems to understand what an native speaker say.
@ Ben: but you have the advantage of the M6 and the automatic weighs more .... yehaaa, competition ... I am looking forward to see if I have an advantage with my A4 in Bitburg. Hope there is also someone I can talk about a GM hotcam (tips, install, PCM, problems with german sniffer tests etc).

did anybody watch the video. I have not been to hoch but it looked like they were out for a sunday drive. I think I take corners harder than that in my golf getting on and off the autobahn sometimes. I didn't watch all of the video because I got board.

Thanks for the link.
Hmm, I have to test this SRTs myself. When I read what they write I am not shure if this is a car for me - topspeed 125mph is not much, or? Can´t they or won´t they drive faster? They write about that blue elise: Hmm, that was no competition - I got her in a curve! A Camaro got a Elise in the curve - think about that.
But seen no pics from mine yet
update: Read the specs of an imported SRT: In the 230PS-configuration it should go 5,6 sec from 0-100kmh and 246kmh topspeed. So I am still interested what the 300hp-Version can do.
