when is the next time anybodys going to nurburg. I would like to go and maybe ride. with somebody I wouldn't mind taking my golf up there to drive it but I think maybe it would end up staying there.

my bad I have read that before. I just forgot about I will see if I can make the 28th. How strict are the tech inspections cause I don't think the golf will pass. do you need any safty equipment

only oil leak the hoopty has is a small little one from the dist. almost all vw 1.8l 16v's have that leak unless they just replaced the distributor. just one of those things. they really shouldn't have mounted it sideways on the head. It really doesn't make it to the ground just to the top of the bell housing. and I just realized not gonna be able to do it on the 28th. but maybe the 22nd will have to see.

you think that's bad, I've been carrying around 20 in my wallet for the last 3 weeks and I dont' know if I'm going to make it up there this weekend or not.
with a little luck on my side I'll be done with this DV crap on Saturday, still have a job, and make it up on Sunday.

there is no safety inspection. You just have to have a licence plate on your car. The only thing I would ask is that you check for leaks so other people don't get caught up in an oil slick you caused. Beyond that your safety is your business.
