This creamed a concrete corner at 100MPH and lived, thanks to the safety stuff he had in his car, I need to get one of those HANS enabled helmets and HANS device, I smacked my helmet in the window spinning in Sachs curve and recovering from that threw mu head into the window.

Ouch ...

And then there's people who say they're not required to wear a helmet on the autobahn, so why should they at the track ...

I just got off of the autobahn. I had all of my lugnuts, but didn't wear a helmet. I think I may have hit a bit harder though. It was pretty much head on to the right side. Yeah i'm a bit sore.

Damn, hope you were not banged up too bad, I do not wish that for anyone. Too bad it got away from you. I had that happen to me once, getting too cocky coming off the autobahn on the offramp and the car slid in the turn, kissed the plastic markers and a lot of bushes, I was lucky there was no metal on that off ramp, otherwise I would have been picking pieces of fiberglass.

You know when you are at the track, you actually forget how close you are to being at risk of crashing, especially when you start taking for granted those close NASCAR passes and almost kissing bumpers passes and breaking, whew...I guess the adrenaline rush of racing lends itself to forget about that aspect. I am really look into getting one of those HANS devices. Roy, man do you have a 5 point?
Nick

I saw Brad's car last weekend when I was up at Phoenix. The front of the car is stripped down to the frame rails and you can really see how hard the hit must have been, but Joe said they will be able to fix it good as new.
