How often is Nurnburg open on the weekends? I'm thinking abiout going this weekend but I'm not sure about their schedule. The site shows an oldtimer grand prix all day Sat and Sun, but it shows touristenfahrten as well.
The oldtimer racing might be cool to see, but I want to make a few runs if the weather's good.

Check their schedule here: http://www.nuerburgring.de -> Adventure -> Nordschleife (then scroll down until you see the schedule) This weekend it's open both Saturday and Sunday. Quote: The oldtimer racing might be cool to see, but I want to make a few runs if the weather's good.
I will be going, I just don't know yet if Saturday or Sunday. What do you prefer? Track on Sunday might be not quite as crowded when you stay there all day until the evening but...
I won't be going if it's going to rain, so then I'll pick the day without rain.

I think Sunday afternoon might be good, let me know what you decide. I don't want to go in the rain either.

I will wait until Friday afternoon to check the weather forecasts and then post the day I'll go. I'll be there the whole day (from about 1100).

lol, yea, but this man's toy is insured for a 2.8L '88 Firebird... not the car it is now. If I go to a track I want to feel the G-load and not worry about sliding off the track!

It won't cost "per day" but "per lap" you drive. That is 19 Euro for a single ticket or you buy a multi-lap ticket and save some Euros per lap.
Watching costs nothing and is also fun. I can show you some good spectator places. No entrance fee.

Ben,
I screwed up man, I forgot the Hockenheim drag racing was this weekend. I told some other guys I would head out there on Sunday, I'm not sure I'll be able to go to either track on Sat.
I'm going to try and make the next Hockenheim tourist day and I want to go to N-ring too. Maybe I can meet you out there in a few weeks.

OK. I'll be at nearly every Hockenheim tourist date (there aren't so many) but it's normally very crowded. Just post here when you've got time to go.

If you happen to have time on Saturday, that's when I'll be on the N'ring. So if you arrive there just call me if you don't see my car: 0160-7600704.
EDIT:
Update - not going today.
