Looks like you will be running it on LPG.

I also find one of these very helpful when using a TIG torch

never seen those before.. :|
but i use some very thin welding gloves when it gets too hot
for the most part i use tig for stainless and alu.
and stainless conducts heat very poor, so the feeding rod doesn't get very hot and with alu, i need to feed it much faster then stainless so there is less time for the rod to get too warm.

does this have a wheel of some sort to feed the rod ?

you have a sharp eye with regards to the propane
i planned to take full advantage from the 110octane rating from the propane by building a "high" compression (9.5:1) and running high boost, but unfortunately my (german) piston maker didn't build the pistons to my spec and made much lower compression pistons TWICE !
:pat: and after several months and much hassle i installed the highest compression set of the 2 (8,2:1) and went along with the build.
unfortunately i could allso not use the camshaft i wanted due to the pistons valve pockets where allso not DEEP enough , because of those both things i think i leave 30-50hp unused

Yes it does and you work it with your index finger .

the BOV finally arrived.
unfortunately it had 2 aluminum weld on connectors but no stainless, so i had no other choise but to make one myself, it was a bit more work then i anticipated
but in the end turned out okay

these silicon hoses are way overpriced, but certainly make things look more professional :ok:

the band itself was included with the blow off valve, unfortunately not the "valve seat part" where the bov is mounted on.
nevertheless the v-band can be had from ebay in all kind of configurations :ok:

Funny the LPG was the fisrt thing I notice also.

V-Band? It looks like a normal t-bolt clamp.

The hoses are Samco Sport? I just installed a set on the Jeep from them.

Hey when are you coming tot he US again? I am looking at going to Sebring in March for the 12 hour race.

The clamp attaching the BOV is a v-band clamp w/ a t-bolt. It is not the flip latch type, but it is a v-band. You can tell from how it mounts.

OK. Well if I get this job in Montana I am heading there to the mountains. I have had no luck with finding anything back in Germany.

Trever, I am still looking into asking my dad for is camper setup for Sebring.

i just got the supercharger running, and what was my sursprise ?
the cheap knockoff ebay (ss-autochrome/ xs-power) blow off valve had some huge vacuüm leaks inside, so much it would not open untill 4000rpm :bash:
contacting the seller several times, gave no replies.

I mean how difficult is it to make a working blow off valve ????

but nevertheless i opened it and changed the springrate and was able to fix the vac. leak with some threadlocking compound, is working okay now :ok:

i did not install the inlet tube yet, to let it blow out any debris that was left in the intercooler after grinding/ welding it
might get around to install it today (weather permitting)

well not too long anymore i hope.
i did some first test driving today with it.

the good news is that it ran very nice for the boost it made :ok:
in 2nd gear with the long rear axle ratio (3.44:1 )and big 17 inch wheels it starts spinning above 4000rpm
bad news is that it only made 0.4-0.5bar at 7000rpm
apparently the head flows much better then i thought = so less restriction = less boost

tomorrow i will spend some time looking at local scrapyards to see if i can find parts to make a bigger crank pulley :pat:
