It looks like we had some folks come back for some more after last month! That's great! Sorry I couldn't be there. I was in Afghanistan for a month. I'm back for about a month to take some leave and do some things in the office before heading back for a year.

I won't get to use up those tires James gave me after all, so if anyone needs some used autocross/road race tires (245/50/17 ish? I'll have to verify the size) and can pick them up in Mannheim, I have a couple sets for free.

sorry to hear you could not make it.

We did miss you, lots of spectaters this time
(we where down at the dragrace area to do slalom because of the bad weather forecast t, so the dragracers had something to look at when waiting for the track to dry)
The turnout despite the weather was quite good, there where even more cars that i did not bother to put on the timing sheet because some only did 1-2 runs or broke down.

I guess Afganistan really messes up your plans for this year ?

That location gave you some great exposure for a change! Hopefully that will spark even more interest among the drag racers / spectators to try out the autocross. That's great!

Yeah, this short notice trip to Afghanistan definitely put a crimp in my plans for my last year in Germany. I guess I won't get to race at "The Ring" like I had planned after all and will miss the rest of this season.

It has been great fun racing with you all! Keep it "Shiny Side Up!" (And don't slide off the side of the track into any signs either... :oops:

altough the atmosphere was a lot better now then with the porsche club :mrgreen:

Roy, the green kadett is actually an opel manta A series , and after Rob saw my friends (bmw m3 engine equipped) manta A, he said he now had a new favourite car bodystyle :ok:

we all did some investments for the slalom,

Marco S. bought the tent, i bought a external whiteboard / scoreboard (for fast time of the day/ lineup-order) and we all bought new walkytalkies
