My friend Glen from Schweinfurt broke into the 11's with his '81 Z28. He's the Manager at the Schweinfurt MWR Auto skills center and races the 1/4 mile whenever he gets a chance (Hockenheim, etc.) He's running a 388 small block, no power adders. I think that's pretty impressive!

No, not really. I thought it was 11.48, but it's whatever he had posted at the show, I think 11.87 or something. Still pretty fast. Most people think it's easy to get in the 11's, but it's not with a small block without power adders. Especially with the weight of the car. He recently bought a B&M Megablower by the way!! We'll see what happens if he runs that thing.

It is easy to get a SBC to run 11's. Its not cheap to get a SBC into the 12's or lower ;)

Take a 350, 12bolt with 5.14gears, full slicks and launch at the moon. Then there is those small things like engine and tranny rebuilds.
