A class 10.00-11.99
B class 12.00-13.99
C class 14.00- and slower

This is after our grudge runs and for eliminations. I also informed him it would be better to run classes down to final eliminations, then get the overall winner quickest RT gets bye run.

last time we had class C 15.00 and slower...
there is not many cars that fast.
does that mean the Firehawks and Beetles get promoted?
Difficult to loose if there is nobody else in the class.
So guess you got your first or second trophy for sure no
matter how sh***y yo're driving...?

Even "Don's" version of the OSL-site has slower numbers listed - a lot slower:

* A/SL – Handicap and ¼ mile dial-in between 10,99 and 12,99 seconds.
* B/SL – Handicap and ¼ mile dial-in between 12,99 and 15,99 seconds
* C/SL – Handicap and ¼ mile dial-in 15,99 seconds and slower

I don't see a point in having classes that will only have a hand full of racers, after all we're running in Germany where any serious modification, that would enable street legal (i.e. TÃœV legal) to run that fast, would keep the car from being street legal ... that leaves foreign nationals with cars not registered in Germany and people with non-registered cars on the "fast" classes, whereas all the other people are left to run in one class ...

I agree with you Garry. This is street legal I thought? But if you got a drag car, slap red tags on it you can run it as street legal. Usually they do this but last time the bugs didn't even mess with the tags. Check registrations and inspection dates. Not street legal run them in a different class (exhibition). But if they are not registered, is this against the Test & Tune policy. Have a separate race for those cars. Time before last was a red Camaro with Blower, not street driven but had red tags. Why can't I build a monster play toy and bring it out to play (Test & Tune)?

hi everybody so first i hope the index thing stays where it was last time in bitburg.Because in A there are then maybe 2cars in b maybe 20 and c is 80cars so i hope whe stay with the old index system.So and second the yellow beetle from last time bitburg had tags on it the car is street legal and have complette GERMAN TUEV on it and the car is registered he just had no licenseplates on the front but he have one in the back.And the blower camaro had them Oldtimer Tags and 10more people was driving them LicensePlates so everything was streetlegal.And i think they should more check the safety system out next time on everybody cars.So who is coming next week to bitburg?

I really do not care I just want to race. There should only be a handful of cars in the A class that is why its A class. I suppose it is ok for me to sit at the light for 6-9 seconds to get beat by a 3cyl opel because I redlighted? It is a fact a slower car is more consistent. IE traction. That is not bracket racing and could get pretty old quick.
I do not care what the Brackets are but that is what I got from Tony yesterday so if you think it needs to be changed get with him.

hi bruce im just saying im happy that osl is bracket racing.Thats why im saying it dont matter for me what cars are driving there if a 6second car or just 18second cars.Thats why we run bracket.Und if a car is registered or not that dont interessed as long the car is safe.And i just wanne race too.So keep rollin and im ready to rumble.

I am confused Brackets are classes with a handicaps but still have index and normally you must quailify to get into the bracket.

Bruce you are correct plus it is a whole lot safer . There is nothing worse to watch than a 10 second car chasing down 18 second car and then crash into the slow car because it couldn't get out of the way.

Then there is run what you brung bracket with no index , just dial your times and go. And hope the above scenario doesn't happen.

A bit of topic:

It´s a 70% probability of rain that weekend, does that change anything ´bout the event ?

Except the spinning wheels will slower the faster cars ... <evil grin>

so far I trusted the weather and it always worked out: great weather in Bitburg while the remaining Germany was down under (water or heavy thunderstorms)
so I will keep up my trust... and hope the best.

About the Index times in Bitburg:
I do not have a raceable car this year, so it does not really matter to me.

But what I have is my kind of fairplay thinking, and what I do NOT like is this permanent change of:
rules, indexes, winner prices, exemptions, and so on...
At least during one year there should not be any changes to above listed...
set them up at the beginning of the year and stick to them!

one time you get a trophy and 300 bucks, another time just a trophy, the next time the allover gets the money for his class and also some allover money??? WTF!

then one time I drove in B, one time in C, and in Drachten I was grouped in B but still drove in A because of only 3 cars in B ... and all with the same (slow) car???

Thank you for reading...

I wouldn't give anything for current rain probabilities... they have changed 100% before from one day to the next ...
