Just a quick question - what's the fastest trap speed I could expect from a SuperGas car on the quarter mile? Is it safe to say we won't be seeing anything faster than 200mph?

I doubt you will see anyone over here actually exceeding 150 mph. People that can run that fast will be running in a faster class. Even the high tech overkill S/G people in the US don't trap over 200 mph!!!

The Index for Supergas is 9.90,
which is only a secondandhalf faster than Bruce.

Oh don't I wish 20 mph or 1.5 seconds in the 1/4 were as easy to come by as you seem to think.

Even though, with Bruce' trap speed, he should be hitting 10s ... hey Bruce, will your wheels hook this year? :burnout:
Anyway, timing system is back to the original design, so as long as I don't get speeds in the 250 range, I shouldn't have a problem ... and if, I could still reduce some internal delays ... at the moment, I ignore events for 100ms after an event ... 200km/h means that the distance between trap and quarter takes about .36seconds, so I should be good well beyond 400mph ;)
In fact, I'm thinking about calculating an aproximate mph from the time between front and rear wheels breaking the 60ft light ... if a car is running 50km/h, it drives ~14m per second, so with a resolution of 1/1000s, I will be well within acceptable accuracy ;)

Dennis, you are getting that wrong. We know getting below 13s we talk about money for every half second down...
The calculation is about miles per hour and timing system range in general...

Stop talking long story theories and get that stuff to work right!
I tried to read that three times and still don't know what you are actually saying. All we want is a good timeslip.
Sorry but I feel so old today... :?
