... are your results on this ET calculator?

http://robrobinette.com/et.htm

If I use the 193 my V6 supposed to have as flywheel HP, it seems pretty good ... but then I thought the numbers listed on german car papers are supposed to be WHP, which would put my 'Vert at 15.3 ... not really ... ;)

That thing has no idea of stuff like shifting, how the car hooks, altitude, FWD or RWD, or that damn R/T. There has to be countless variables in this equation. Where's the torque number??

I put my 3400 car in at 450 flywheel HP and it said something like 11.8. No way. If I can get it to hook like a mad man, maybe. But come on. Who's gonna put a ass load of drag suspension on a 450 HP 3400 lb car?

I know such a calculation is at best a mediocre guess due to the many parameters that are involved ... that's why I asked how close it is for you ...

'91 Mustang GT. I ran a 14.9 last month at Bitburg on a 120,000 mile motor, and this says I should be running 15.3. Something is not right here.

Ah but regardless, your actual time should give you some idea of how much power is actually getting to the floor. To get my 13.8 using 3528lbs as the weight (1600kilos) takes 265bhp at the wheels and just over 310 at the flywheel, according to this, which probably isn't too far out.

Given drag radials of course, the times would be 0.2 better for sure so it would be safe (?) to assume that the engine itself is producing at least 325bhp....wouldn't it????

Ah well, nothing wrong with theory.

Trap speed is a bit more acurate to determine power. there is still factors involved however the # will be closer. FWIW you must figure driver weight + car weight.

True. So if I take the 2577kg dry weight and add my weight twice to account for fuel, oil etc, it would make it about 280 to the ground I suppose or around 330 at the flywheel. Like I say, it's all theory but it makes me feel better! LOL.

http://www.fasttimesperformance.com/analyzer.html

On this one, using 3800lbs as the start weight, the hp is 344hp so I guess I prefer this one. LOL

It also says nett - hmm, I don't think so somehow. The one below still says 285bhp equates to a 13.8 but with a lower trap speed. Werd. How's that 795bhp Hawk! He he.....
