Hello Motorsportfriends,

the countdown for our first Quartermile & Slalom T'n'T on April 30th at
the Bitburg Airfield is on.
To give you a little passtime for the easter holidays, we have set up a
little game for you:
Go and find some Eastereggs at http://1on1-motorsports.de !

All correct answers that are mailed to Osterraetsel@1on1-motorsports.de
by Monday evening are entered for a drawing of the €30 main price on
April 30th, 2000 hours in our beergarden/-tent in Bitburg! All other
correct entries receive a small price.

Have fun and Happy Easter,

your 1on1 Team

What does it cost to race, and what to watch?

I won't race my car, but there is a couple of guys I work with that would like to race.

I would like to show up and support the F-bodys.

Prices are on the website ... from 5€ entry to watch the whole weekend ... we usually have quite a bit of fun there, both on and off the track ...

I will not have my car registered before then so therfore I will not have Belgium plates. Will I still be able to run with stateside plates on the car? We drive on ours till our Belgium ones come in but the Spangdahlem area seems a little bit more uptight about it.

As I know you can drive with any plates in Germany/Europe as a tourist. Tourist visa are max. 3 month, same as stateside.

Now if you are working here, you are not a tourist. For the military it is against the regulations to use stateside plates, for many reasons.

Another issue is the insurance, is your liability insurance covering Europe?

For the T'n'T you may use any plates you want, since we have cars coming from all Europe.
For everybody with other than regular German/Europe plates (where a liability insurance is mandatory prior registration) I have to ask for a copy of a valid liability insurance attached to the race-registration.

For us in Belgium registration take awhile and we drive on our stateside plates until we get our Belgium ones. I have full coverage insurance with USAA and the green card to prove it. You dont need plates for that. Just pay an crap load for insurance (wich is a ripp-off).

Insurance is always a rip off

Just run a copy and attach it to the registration papers please. After the end of event it will be destroyed - or you may just take it back when you leave. I got to ask for a copy because you can not be tracked by your licence plate number in Europe.

(just in case you run over my toes: they are expensive. J/K  )

A fewmore questions:

Is there a "best" time and date to watch the Drag racing? I am hoping to come up to Bitburg either the 29th or the 30th.

Do they run AutoX and drags at the same time or do they do one, and then the other?

I am hoping to bring friends (non-F-body) owners, and they are as interested in the AutoX as the Drags.

Sorry for all the questions, I know all you guys that have been up to the races know and understand how all this works. The only times I have been to Bitburg AP is to do Combat Field training.

thanks
tom

Sunday afternoon is about the best time I've seen. But you can get a decent amount of runs in all weekend. Most people either take a tent or stay in a hotel. You can always get a room on Bitburg.

They run the drag and AutoX at the same time. There is never a crowd over at the AutoX as most find it gay (Val and Roy  )

A few more questions:

Is there a "best" time and date to watch the Drag racing? I am hoping to come up to Bitburg either the 29th or the 30th.

Answer:

29 April / afternoon we set up, no racing to watch that day.

30 April we do Heads Up / Grudge Runs all day and "Ladies Bracket" in the last half hour around 6 pm - so the women get a chance to get the car from their husbands (second registration at one car is €5) - and then we allow the Kids play 60-foot runs at the tree.

1 May we do Time Trials in the morning, ET Bracket starting at noon and the last hour until 4 pm we allow spectator races for €5 each.

Do they run AutoX and drags at the same time or do they do one, and then the other?

Answer: AutoX and drags are at two different locations and run the same time by different teams.

hm... Daddy beat me to the answer while I was talking on the phone.

But, Daddy, you can not get that gay thing out of your head, what ?
It got to really be an issue for you.
You dream about a gay-smd and you are scared to follow your most intime thoughts and wishes?
