Wondering about what you can do to get where Ben is with his .501 on the weekend? Here is a reaction trainer.

Well, kind of ...

RT isn't all about the driver, y'all. A car with 26 in front tires is gonna roll out of the beam slower than a car with 24 in tires. It also depends a lot on how quickly your car's suspension and drivetrain reacts too. Way more factors than just the driver. Kudos to Ben, but for most folks it takes a lot of work.

Of course most of the actual R/T at the tree is the car. Or should be. A normal human can react in about .15 seconds or so, the .350 is/should be the car ... but the part that usually messes up the R/T is the person, not the car ;) I guess I could check for the average of R/Ts from the weekend, I would imagine they are well beyond .7 oder .8 ... (even without counting the spectator runs!)
