Well, thanks to Don my new cam got put it while I am deployed.

From everything I am hearing about the car now you can definantly tell it is not stock.

Should be mid 12's.

My wife is going to be bringing it to the next Bitburg...yeah she is cool.

Post some specs on the old cam. I can't remember what they were. BTW, the car runs great. A little more valve train noise than the old cam. That is normal with our engines though. It is way more explosive now. I haven't really gotten into it real hard yet. Nicole drove it home to Schweinfurt and she even said it was faster. Lopes really good to. That cam would love an NX MAF kit on it too.

Who needs a MAF if you can go SD? :)

On a side note: Anybody have an LS6 Intake Manifold flying around unused?

What I meant is that his cam would like a little nitrous. NX makes a MAF nitrous kit for it. It is a wet system than can be jetted to 200hp. I wish I would have just gone that route instead of the direct port. That thing is a PITA to mess with.

Damn, you have to give me more details....living vicariously through you.

How much seat of the pants HP do you think I gained. The old cam definantly wasn't taking advantage of the flow of the heads.

Also, do you notice a difference in handling since the last time now that it has a full suspension kit?

I have been thinking about going with a Fast intake manifold, dual springs and hardened cv axle's to ensure nothing goes pop with DR's or slicks.

The old cam was a nice DD cam and is great for FI applications. You can get the specs off of LPE's site. It is the GT 2-3 cam, I have the LS6 springs that go with it.

You can definitely feel the difference. A Fast 90/90 and an SLP under drive pulley would help also. It probably picked up 25hp with just the cam. Only the trap speed at the track will tell the tale.

how does it compare to an ls6 cam ?
is it more or less radical, and does the engine runs as smooth as original ?

A little more radical and way more explosive than an LS6 cam. It is very streetable too.

VERY VERY streetable.

You couldn't tell my car had a cam, but more power than the LS6 cam.

Also, if you plan on going forced induction this is one of the best cams on the market.

It is like a 118 LSA, but go to the LPE website and look up the GT 2-3 cam.
