Just on the radio this morning ... 18 year old, sitting in the back seat, got killed when two cars street racing each other touched and one ran into a power pole ... driver and passenger in front are hurt. Trying to get ahold of some further infos ...

Sad to hear about things like this....tragic to say the least for those of us who enjoy driving fast.

Also does the article say if they were belted in or not??

Sorry to hear .
The age of of the passenger probably belies the age of the drivers. Plus add some cold black ice nights a beer and a touch of stupidity= a perfect recipe for disaster.

I just wish the passenger didn't have to pay the bill.

Found one report in a Frankfurt paper (online) that only spoke of a risky passing, so maybe it wasn't street racing as they said on radio ...

I guess they find young kids killed and want to blame it on something that can be as irresponsible as some street racers are.

Still sad that the young man was killed, regardless of what they were doing, but media does tend to turn things to however they like or whatever will generate the most debate. Maybe thats what they were doing, but maybe not...but I have seen that entirely too much.
