There was a band Saturday night, and more fun and excitement then I have ever seen at Birburg in the past... Great show for all of yous that showed... Jerry took 1st in the Public class, followed by a Mustang, then the fords took both in the Open class... Should have been there!!! Next month there will be 3 days of racing in Bitburg, 3- 5 Oct... Hope to see more of the F-body Europe there!!!!

didn't see you at the party later at night any more.
around midnight there was 2 shirts ... disappearing in the dark.

So now I got to plan and prepare for October.

Rough Plan: Setup Thursday
Friday 10 - 0600 Quartermile Heads Up and Bracket Training mixed
Saturday 10 - 0600 QM Heads Up and Bracket Training mixed
Sunday 10 - 0400 QM Heads Up and Bracket Finals
Thinking about making Announcements and
hanging up FlowCharts to make the Brackets easier

AutoX for everybody (no Porsche) all Weekend w Trophies

Breakfast and BBQ to very reasonable Prices all Weekend available
Party Friday night and Saturday night ?
starting at 0600 with Beer and Musik (live or DJ?)
in a Tent, Tables, Benches ...

Any more ideas?
hm, and I like to have pre-registrations soon, really would make
the planning easier to have a clue of how many people are coming,
and how much money I can expect/spend on additional attractions...

What do I have to do to just go watch and party with the gang. Don't really have a good car to make the trip both days, so is there places to stay? Any help would be great.

Unfortunatly my SS isn't here/done yet, but I have got a replacement block and Project Boosted 383 is back in progress. :D I hope to have the car by Christmas.

Just show up ...
There are several Hotels around, ranging from as low as €22 or so per person to ... well, don't really know how high ... ;) Also, I think there are army places to stay at for reasonable prices, where some 4-6 people can stay ...
Sorry to hear you won't have your car ready in time for Oct 3 ...

How about having some one with a radio down at the end of the track or some where before re-entering the open access area to the parking lot during bracket racing. With this you can tell the drivers that they have either lost or won so they can get back into line for the eliminations or park it. Also have one person with the main job of getting the numbers of the cars and relaying that number to the guy setting up the runs behind the computer, instead of him having get up and yell at the starter "what number is that car?". Maybe Garry can train some others on how to set up and align the sensors. This would take a little burden off of some people.
Just food for thought.

For the first, I can do that if I have volunteers who WANT to do that.
Then if all drivers put the numbers at the side/back in the way they are supposed to, there would not be a reading problem.
Aligning the sensors is not a biggy, anybody can do that without training.

---------------
I will try to put up a Flow Chart for the Bracket next time, so everybody can take a look at the board and see the result - who is making the next round qualification.
Then I want the cars to drive by a certain point in one line when returning, where they get the timeslips handed.
Which means we got to control the parking a little better, so the drivers do not drive all over the place when coming back.
We will do more Bracket Training next time, swap between Heads Up and Bracket for fun, and work out the little things.

Any more ?

I thought that you guys put the numbers on the cars as they go through the tech inspection.
As far as the other stuff, that all sounds good. Maybe it will flow a little better.

Hawk, glad to see that you are still alive and kicking. Give a brother a call some day.

Squirrelina,
I'm interested in the Auto-X, I raced with PCA in AUG and in SEP (the only F-body that was over there when they where running). Unfortunately I won't be able to make it for the whole weekend. What day is will the Auto-x racing take place( for 1st,2nd 3rd........ and son)??? What will it cost and where are the rules posted??
Thanks
Val

No we did Tech Inspection first, then get the number when paying.
But we could overthink that procedure, have the inspectors checking if the number is put on correctly. Thanks, good idea!

Stef said he might come over and help to set up and run the AutoX with us. The rules will be the same as with PCA.

Now I do not know yet if Stef can make it on Friday, but I should find out in the next few days.
On the cost I am thinking of a single-day price, and alternate all-weekend price.

I will answer the details after I clearified with Stef.
