July is also ok for me.

OK, to get started, here are two suggestions I can offer that I know of from my own experience ...

- Austria, Attersee - great scenery, nice drive to get there. The lake itself is great for at least two days of looking around, in July the water should be great for swimming (or diving). The lake is about a 2 hour driving distance from Vienna as well as several other nice places, great for a day trip. They have lots of farm places that rent out rooms, the place I stayed at had some 8-10 double rooms at very reasonable price. Problem is we'll probably have to decide quickly to still get a reservation ... you can see some pics of the lake here, this is the place we stayed at ...

- just about the opposite, Denmark. Sea instead of mountains, north instead of south ... only been there shortly last year, but was really nice. Silke can probably say more about DK than I can. Problem there is that while they have lots of little houses you can rent, they are usually rented from Saturday to Saturday ... we'd need to check for a place we could stay (apart from the cars;) ) that rented out on a daily basis for Fr-Mo ...

It's not just being there, but getting there, too ... still hoping to some day get a convoy of 10+ F-Bodies together ... make some people's eyes (and ears?) pop out

P.S. - both countries have lower gas prices than Germany ... Austria definitely, Denmark I paid with my Maestro card (about the same price on the pump as in Germany), but the payment deducted from my account was minus the local DK taxes, which are some 20% or so ... which was cool ;)

I totally agree. It would be awesome to have 10+ fbodies together at any one time.. Kind of like our first year as a club... Boy was there real committment then..

Well, what'sthe verdict on the date? How's it with the July 4 weekend? What about destinations? We will need to reserve early, several german states start their summer leave by the end of June ...

Austria sounds very good!
Denmark would be a long long drive, but ok, too.
July 4th, as far as i can say now, is ok!

And a convoy would be cool :) (2001 we had at least 2 with the vilseck clan 8) )
