Apparently he thought he could boost his performance by cleaning the inside of his intake manifold with a small, wire toilet brush. Somehow the end broke off inside, and ended up too far to reach with any sort of tool available. He had to resort to taking off the entire manifold to get it out!

The whole intake was wet, black and covered with oil (valves, valve cover ventilation, i don´t know) - and i thought some cleaning couldn´t harm.
Well, it could.

Like Marc said, next time use the full metal brush for 2.49, not the plastic + metal brush for 1.99!
OK, but there will be no next time

Guys, and gals, I truely had a blast. It was the event of the year , so for. Nothing will stop me going back on 3-4 July. If you didn't go, you didn't miss it, just come to the next one. Fbody's getting the top 3 trophy's during the "show and shine" was way cool. To Linda, I gotta say "you go girl" That was the coolest thing, thanks to Bruce. Oh yeah, thanks for the compliments on the car. I never noticed that the weather was bad the whole weekend. Oh, Chris, thanks for the extra traction on that last run on Saturday night> HeHe.

JackZ28 wrote: Did you get those gaskets on yet? Nope, no time yet, had to go back to Erlangen today, study, university and other crap But that liquid gasket works pretty fine, runs like i´m used to it. I got a SES light after driving it on the Autobahn a bit hard, but it disappeared again, also my code scanner (aka resistor on the OBD connector) doesn´t show a code. I´ll check that on the weekend, but i do not use my car weekdays anyway. 30birdy wrote: Oh, Chris, thanks for the extra traction on that last run on Saturday night> HeHe.
No problem, if my weight is at least sometimes of any worth, that's cool

Did I mention that there was all thes hot girls wanting a blast in da Hawk!!! I turned them all down except Linda and I think she will remember that drive for a while. She was shaking from head to toe and could not even put the keys in the ignition actually my checks hurt after that she did a good job staging 1st and 2nd but went for 3rd and choked on 5th. It had a 100 shot of crack so she was playing with 550+ hapees.

Hawk, two or three more rides like that and I'll probably be able to talk her into a 427 plus a blower. She is still talking about it. As soon as we got home, she called her parents and told them all about it. We ought to make up a sign and give musclecar rides for Euros. We could probably pay for the trip.
