JackZ28 wrote: Hey Garry, what would the authorities say if you widened your garage? Is that allowed, and would you have to pay some serious taxes?
That thing is a pre-built garage, was delivered in one piece and just placed on the foundation ... no way to extend it ... only thing I could do is build another one right next to it (after getting the necessary permits and stuff...), would have enough room, but would have to get a tree cut down in order to get a large car like an F-Body in and out ... anyway, the car fits in there, so no real reason to do anything ...
Only thinking about what I'll do with the SUV I'm getting --- definitely won't be able to pull it into the extra driveway (tree in the way) ... also will most likely have to find a place to park the 79 next year ... don't think my friend will like the idea of having it at his place indefinitely ... (apart from working on it ...)

I'm 43. Married at 24. Divorced after 8 years. Ex-wife's revenge was turning my 9 and 6 year old daughters against me and lying through her teeth to get the Courts to deny me access to them . They're now 15 and 18 and I haven't seen them for 10 years, despite writing. I reached a low ebb and it became self-perpetuating. I had to get out and do something. For me, life began again at 32 and I ended up going out with different women, I have a nice car, nice house again after a time with no money and I have a 3 year old daughter from a now defunct relationship but i have regular contact and a new girlfriend I'll probably settle down with. Life can be good again, you just have to get out there and be positive in the face of everything. Mind you, you could buy an Evo VII.

...Garry if you listened to me you'd have that garage plus two carports without a permit with no tree cutting down. Do I have to tell you again?
You just have to think of an different angle, not parallel to the street but 90° from the street down, left and right of that tree. Prebuilt carports no
permit required 300€ each (Hornbach). Forget about that cheap fence, can be replaced.
Just making a plan to build one carport for 3 cars in front of my garage.

The garage I have is pre-fabbed ... but then, we're not in the states where I could get a wood double garage pre-fabbed at any corner in town ... plus, need a foundation underneath, a permit to put up a new one (including the OK from the next door neighbor as it would have to be put up the same place, but bigger), plus several truckloads of dirt to fill up the ground on top (about 3-4feet height difference between street and lot ... well, not the right thing to do right before winter anyway ... think about that next spring...

(RAMPAGE)Dino, this is Sven. I don't know if you remember me.
I am 32 years old now, and a few years back I went through some emotional downs that I am afraid will stay with me for life.
the emotional damages I have will never go away- for the rest of my life.
I will die and go into the grave and the pain and the hurt will be there.
It does not matter where I go, who I am with. what I am doing.
Anyone who has really been there knows it doesn't just "go away".
there is a very positive message in what I am saying - bear with me.
Dino, focus on the good things in your life that you really like, that God has blessed you with. Keep yourself busy with these things and the bad things will be put under control.
They won't go away, but the pain and the hurt and all the bad things will be put under control by all the good things in your life.
use these good things to make you a better person.
use these good things to make you have a better understanding of life.
think of the bad things as weak, and the good things as strong
THE BEST SWORDS ARE THE ONES WITH THE HARDEST METALS THAT HAVE GONE THROUGH THE FIRES AND THE HAMMERS THE MOST.
DINO, YOU ARE LIKE ME. A SWORD. YOUR METAL AND YOUR SHARPNESS IS BEING TESTED. IT IS BEING PUT UNDER THE FIRE AND HAMMER.
AND YOU ARE THERE. LIKE ME SOME YEARS AGO
ALL ALONE- UNDER THE FLAME AND THE HAMMER- BEING FORGED INTO A MAGNIFICENT MASTERPEICE.
FACE IT. FEEL IT. YOU GET THROUGH THE SAD OR BAD EMOTIONS YOU WILL BE A MUCH STRONGER -
A MUCH BETTER
A MUCH MORE WISER
A MUCH MORE HEALTHIER PERSON THAN ANYONE ELSE AROUND YOU.
YOUR METAL WILL BE HARDENED AND SHARP.
AND YOU WILL BEGIN TO SEE THAT EVERYONE AROUND YOU IS NOT AND WILL NEVER BE AS GOOD AS YOU.
BE STRONG MY FRIEND.

Guess what, your saying is true.
I sharpened my wit, my body and my tongue.
People deal me more respect now, they started calling me after years because of the forementioned trouble, even solved a (little) alcohol problem.
Perhaps the best thing she coul do, was leave me, but that´s kinda hard to realize when it hurts, although the hurt is stopping, too.

And oh boys and GIRL, thank you all very, very much !!!

Preach on... I agree with Jack. Might get yelled at for this one, but this is my house and if she don't like it...

no, I have not fallen of the face of the earth.
I am not due to PCS until 2005 (I extended my tour)
thanks a lot for not forgetting me, jackz28.
I am doing fine. My black 93 LT-1 Z28 is romping, stomping and running hell strong.
same goes for my bike.
I have just been very busy. I apologize for the absence.
Squirrelina, I have been a little stressed out (job related) but I am okay.
I am just a very deep individual, to those who really know me.

Lus1fer, if you where addressing me - about a couple months back I was struck by a car and 5 minutes after that hit by a truck while I was on my motorcycle.
6,000.00 Euro damage to my bike. other than being severely pissed off, I was okay. the two insurance companies for the people who struck me down have paid me back in full.
and now my motorcycle is better than ever.
