Hawk - how are you? Don't see you too often any more, the house done?
How about a going-away meet and when?

Hawk, when are you leaving? Are you going to make it to Bitburg this year so we can see the Hawk fun again?

Don't be a weekend warrior at Alomo. Then again there are a bunch of "throw it together to get it on the track" people that race down there. You just maybe top dog if you are trying to run in the 10's. Remember you are at sea level there. The car will turn some better numbers than here.

Me too John. Roy, as soon as we got the clutch in, we realized that there wasn't any fluid in the tranny. We filled it to the line, and then it seemed ok. The next day, though, as I was cruising around, it went south for the Winter. They said it's the synchros, so I'm gonna call them this week to see if they're done yet. I'm really not looking forward to what he has to say. If it's more than 1000 Euros, the Z will officially be for sale. I will part it out, and don't think I'm joking this time. This is ridiculous.

Well, Garry, to be honest, I never checked it before I left it with them, so technically, they didn't have to check it when they pulled it out. The fixed the engine, not the tranny, so that would be their argument. I can't prove squat, so I am pretty much screwed. I just think it's f#$@ed up that they didn't do a courtesty check, to at least make sure there was some in there.

Nothing set in stone yet. I think the idea was to stir up some interest. There's plenty of interest, so I'm sure it will happen.

Hey Val ,How you doing man, I 'll be in that boat too. Can't wait.
Jack , Words alone will not help. But do you have ADAC plus rechtsschutz brief. (Deutsche Leute give me a hand) . A Ombudsman may see it different . since they had to probably remove the trans mission from the engine to do the repairs.
But Gm guaranteed rebuilt 3yr 36000 mile warranity 6speeds go for 1500 US. Just a thought.
Best of luck man.
