Just a little call for opinions/brain storms ...

We've been talking about having some cruises this year - we may want to start doing some planing early here so everybody can see and try to get days off if necessary ...

For a starter, how about a "season opening"? Hopefully, sometime by end of March/beginning of April, weather should have shaped up in order to meet somewhere for a nice Sunday afternoon/evening ...

Also, as far as it stands now, there will be an OSL event the weekend of June 21st-23rd in Drachten. The last I heard, the local organizers had somewhere around 150 people interested already! Would make for a nice weekend cruise and fun in Holland ...

Any other suggestions? For dates, we may have to wait a couple weeks until the major car meet dates are out (a couple might be nice to go to, like Thunderdome in Biebesheim, or Nürnberg) in order to not have dates overlap ...

That sounds like fun Garry... to bad I won't be here to enjoy it... I'll be lost over in the sand box for most of the season!

How about a Money maker with the mustang club from Hanau and have a car show exclusively for mustangs and F bodies.
After all the bills paid split the proceeds between the two clubs.

1. Mainz Finthen Air field . This could be an OSL event in the backyard. Yes they do rent the track.

2 .Den Haag I believe it is the 1st saturday of the month starting in April or MAY. Sergio probably has more input on that one. Also during the day you can walk the boardwalk or check out the babes on the beach. 90% of the babes are like Garry's and Jr's car "topless" .

I have moreshow info at home in about 5 different countries.

Sound like a great idea !! Since this will be my last season here in germany I would love to make cruises to places like Garmisch and stuff like that to see some of the country side... the weather would have to be a lot better though than it is now but I see no prob for that by the end of march/april...

Anyways, a season starter like garry mentioned would be great...

Anybody knows when the Nuremberg car show is talking place this year ? ...I don´t want to miss out on that one

Nuermberg is a must. If we're shooting for a three or four day cruise, Holland would be my choice. Maybe in conjuction with an O:SL event or one of the car shows they have there.

Do you know who owns/runs it?

Cars and babes both look better topless :P (well, mostly ...)

I'm probably going to BNCOC in March, so I should be back when it really starts kicking!! I plan on being at the majority of the shows again this year.

Folks,

I work for the dutch hot rod association and working close with Tony and Gary to setup some OSL events in the Netherlands. Currently, besides some illegal races here and there we are working on a total 12 to 16 events. The biggest one is Drachten on 21, 22 and 23rd of July. You will be competing with English, Dutch and German drivers. You may ask Bruce and Tony about the previous events. We expect around 150 OSL competitors beside the traditional classes like Super Gas, Pro Mod etc. The other location we work on is Zandvoort (at the beach). We try to plan an event at Zandvoort either before or after the big Drachten event. When I have more dates I will be posting them to Gary. When you want to stay up to date you may want to check Fbody-osl site or http://www.dhra.nl every now and than.

Hope to see you all at Drachten. For more info email to donleemker@cs.com

see you

You are right Gary, slip of the finger.

The event is on 21, 22 and 23 of June 2002.

Just alolow me to tell some more about the event.

The event is mainly based on OSL and the promotion of the class in the Netherlands. We qualify for 1,75 days and eliminate for 1,25 days. The traction on the track is OK. We plan to have a custom car show at the same time behind the race grounds. Normally shows like this attrackt around 400 cars. The places 1, 2 and 3 of the race get a nice trophy and a financial guesture in the form of price money. Spectator grand stand, VIP launch for sponsors (anyone aware of companies interested please email us at donleemker@cs.com or info@dhra.nl). We expect around 50 drivers from the UK, 50 from the Netherlands and around 50 from Germany. Registration fee (including insurace) will be around Euro 45,-, When you want to compete in this event you must register at race web site which may be found in about 1 month on either osl-racing.de and dhra.nl.

Next year OSL will be an official series in the Netherlands recognized by the official car sport body KNAF. You will be kept up to date on progress of the OSL events in the Netherlands via this forum or any of the above mentioned web sites.

That it, sorry for the long text.

Yes she is married. LOL J/K However I like to look at the eye candy laying around. This track looks like we could 1/4 and road race pretty easy. who else wants to play? One other thing about Dracten is it is sticky and at sea level and the bonus is it is in Holland.

Folks,

I am happy to see you like the race in Drachten.

There will also be car show and swap meet.

Fbody vs mustang sounds great as well. Anyone having a url for their site in Germany?
Please post it to me at donleemker@cs.com
