Now I do not have a convertible, but I do know someone who does. And as your rules state below:

Roll bar required in any vehicle running between 6.40 and 7.49 (1/8th) or 10.0 and 11.99 (1/4) seconds; convertibles between 7.0 and 8.59 (1/8th) or 11.0 and 13.99 (1/4) seconds; roll cage required in any vehicle faster than 6.39 (1/8th) or 9.99 (1/4) ET; convertibles faster than 6.99 / 10.99. Roll bar / cage structures must meet minimum NHRA standards as found in 1994 NHRA Rulebook.

I have been told you are following NHRA rules and if my memory serves me correctly the NHRA rules state that a roll bar is required in a convertible that runs under 12.99 in the 1/4 mile. Do your rules have a miss print? I may be wrong, but if your rules are correct then almost every convertible LS1 Camaro totally stock from the factory could not run in your events unless they had a roll bar installed? This just does not make sense to me. Please advise!

Lets see if the rule can be amended.
i.e. top must be up and helmet worn.
IHRA rules are a little different in this area.
