Is anyone planning on going to the races this month in Bitburg? Just seems like the Euro cars and ricers are trying to take over. It would be nice to see some more american muscle there this month. The past few months the lights and timers have been working well, and with the exception of our Bug problem last month, we've had a lot of fun. Hope to see more people there.

I will certainly be there. No Camaro yet, but it'll be there in spirit.
Is anyone staying overnight? If so, where is a good (cheap) place to stay?

There is one place called "Jugendhotel" which is pretty cheap (around €20 per person), US military etc. can get some appartment rental on post AFAIK for some $40+ with 2 BR & living room that will have enough space for 6 people or more ...

Hey Nmonty
Every one is a competitor, It adds spice to the mix .It builds comraderie and unity within the racing community. Most Eveybody that comes to Bburg to race displays these same traits. Without the euro cars there would be less competition. Besides I have seen a few Fbody's schooled by euro cars at Bitburg.

I'll bring my Jetta if someone has some tow cables. I'll only slow you down a few tenths!

I'll be in Bitburg of course... and a friend of mine with an Opel Tigra that is running 300 km/h (186 mph!) is planning to come (don't know what he's running in the quarter with that thing). Also some nice people normally found at the Nuerburgring.

As of right now I plan on going. I'll run the auto-x as that's what I'm set up for. If I get my 9in in by then I will probably try the 1/4 to see how the firechicken runs. Still trying to find out the day that actual 1st, 2nd, 3rd place racing is(for the auto-x).

Yes those two engines in one car - definitely something different.
I found out walking over the place as he rolled up and then I hear a second engine running, so I turned around where the other car was and there was none - first I thought, ok, I lost it... too damn much dragracing, not much sleep at nights and this engine is running in my brains now
but I must had looked so worried that some guy pointed at him:
he got two engines built in...
One of those moments I re-learned to stay open minded and trust my ears - just because I have never seen it before, does not mean it can not happen

...looks like many people want to come to Bitburg in October.
I had to reject Super Comp Cars and Bikes,
I allow the Juniordragsters Training, they are not too loud/too fast for the track. (so far Weikum, Habermann, Bernett's Grandson).

If I were to go for one day to race with a friend, what day would be the best? He just wants to run a few quarter runs? Any directions? Thanks, all.

I recon Friday will be a bit slower, as a couple US folks will be working ... Saturday usually has a bigger number of people there, Sunday we may be doing Bracket in the afternoon depending on interest of the drivers ...

I was watching DSF, and I saw a special on some Opel show, and they showed that Corsa on there.. Supposedly it had about 660 HP!
