the idea was kind of born by you guys on here, it just needs a 'final touch'
What we need is a volunteer FBE team (Roy, Val, and ?) for the future jury.
I will get the 3 trophies called 'FBE Cup' in future... ?
The 'King of the Hill' or FBE Cup should meet 3 criteria:
Quartermile - Slalom - and what we pick for third ?
I suggest something like: 'cleanliness' - inside, outside, extras
or 'family friendly and streetable' - something which drivers with less mod money can still make points in to make up with faster cars.
however, help me to come up with a plan and fair pointing system which in between all 3 parts gives everybody a possible chance to win, no matter what make and model, to keep it fair to everybody
like 'minimum' 1 point / standard 2 points/ exceeding standard 3 points,
and then in the different sections.
The Jury is build out of 3 people, they can drive themself but not vote for themself, so we need a fourth one to jump in then (Garry or Ben?)
(the points for quarter mile or slalom should be easy, I mean for the third criteria)
so ... up to you guys (girls) now.

Oh no!!!
You are not going to give a "performance" trophy to some dude that polishes his car!!!
How about a) Brackets b) Auto-X c) a few laps around the Motopark. That way the best driver/car package wins.
My 2cent's worth.

Sounds great!
Hey if someone polishes his car, then he should get something for it. I kind aalways wondered why we never had a show up there. Give a trophy for how a car looks and stuff

Or we could do a "mini.handling" trial, with stuff like driving in reverse, stopping on a dime, stuff like that ...

I agree with you Daddy. I think that we need to have a car show. Alot of us that are racing these days have nice looking cars and why not make it part of the races.

Gentlemen ,I believe that is why they have show and shine days. To make it a part of racing would be sacrilege or blasphemy, The motor gods would unleash a wrath of non performance options unto those who would agree to this nonsense.
Now for it to be separate but part of an event would be alright , Heck you might as well have a show n shine and sound off event all in one . I see no very little problem. Lets just keep the motorsports scoring separate from show events scoring if we do something like that.

That would be cool. I would be interested in that. I am all around kind of gear head. Love to go fast and look good at the same time, but since my tird isn't fast at least it is polished.

It could be done with the two events Auto X times, 1/4 mile times. If it is a tie MPH trap speed could decide it. Good Idea though. I beleive performance should be performance decided. This would force drivers to do both events and become better all around drivers.

A car show would be nice. Some cars (i.e. Slickmetal) can't really run with most cars. The do look really sweet. We shoudl have something for these guys

I"m MORE THAN WILLING to be a part of the team to help in this, as long as I can compete in it.
I still think that a 3rd event is needed. A braking event would be nice but not sure how that would be measured or set up. 1/4mi (acceleration), auto-x (handling), braking course (stopping power). I mentioned the braking event last year but nobody really bought off on it. I agree with Roy about the "show & shine", I still think that King of the Hill should be based on the capibilities of the car and driver. ...just my .$02

Maybe the third criteria should go to the car with the biggest rear spoiler. That way Jason can finally get a trophy.

Has anyone ever taken it inside the Commisary and loaded it with groceries when you park there? I guess you could really call it a grocery getter then!
