Speaking of which...If someone were in the first heat of cars going down the track...what is to stop cars from doing doughnuts down in the waiting area before the second set of cars gets there? And if doughnuts are ...um...ahem...being done...does 1on1 get in trouble from the airport?

...there might be a security guy at that end in future,
not because to watch the doughnuts there, but we will start using that gate for the slalom people. The outside gate is just too much trouble, and if I have to secure a gate, it may be that one as well.
Now with him there... I can not suggest to do a doughnut, because they have their orders "no doughnuts in potential dangerous areas" and when he takes action I can not tell him that the first two are excepted from the rule...

I may have to work. I'll find out on Friday. If I don't work, I'll roll up there around 0900-1000. I sure don't want to run up there with a bunch of skittles. I'll probably just meet you guys at the base sometime. It depends on when you guys meet up at the west gate.

I tried to find directions on the forum but to no luck. do you have the thread or could you give me the 411 on how to get there

(Fastest way) Take A62 towards Trier. Get off on the 602 exit towards Longwich. Go on down to the B51 (or 52, or 55??) towards Bitburg. This road is pretty long and only 2 lanes, but if traffic cooperates, you're golden. Get off at the flugplatz exit and go straight onto the old base. Make the first left on base and just keep going towards the tower.

(Easiest way) Take A62 towards Trier. Get off on the Wittlich Kruez exit. You'll pass Spangdalem. This is A61 (or 60?). Keep going until you see the Bitburg exit. (B51, or 52, or 55). Drive on to the Flugplatz exit. Same as above from there.

I'm horrible with directions, so if any of you old guys think of something I left off, please add it.
