Just to let the folks here know - Bandit Online will be holding their season finale meeting in Bitburg for the last event this year, so we should have a good crowd of F-Bodies there for a change ... ;) Would be nice to get a couple FBE-F-Bodies to show, too ...

Thinking about putting some seperate trophies on the line ... like, nicest F-Body (visitors' choice), best R/T, or sperate F-Body Shootout ... need to get a word from Silke on that, though ... ;)

Garry, you know that I'll be there but the King of the Hill event will have my priority as I know of atleast 3 people are gunning to take that tittle from me  Do you think that there is some way that we could set up a time to have the KotH folks do their 1/4mi runs since running the auto-x & road course take so much time?? maybe first thing sunday AM or last thing Saturday PM???? Just throwing out ideas.

I don't think that should be a problem, Val. Just say a time and we should be able to squeeze it in ;) I'll try to make it over then for some AutoX runs, too, hoping not to mess up my brakes again as I did last year ;) Jack's gone, so no take-offs from him anymore *gg*

I'll be there on Saturday only.

Just got my powerslots in and ordered some hawk hps pads.

Gonna give the auto-x a try with my Nitto DR's. Some folks are saying that if I inflate them up to 30-35 PSI then they should do fairly well.

:)

Be careful with DR on AutoX ... I don't think they actually help (after all, they aren't called "Slalom Radials" ;)), and you'll most likely tear them up ...

Well some folks in the states who do auto-x said it shouldn't be a problem other then quick wear.

Anyways there is an american car show in a nearby town from 30 SEPT to 1-2 OCT in Wittlich.

Who wants to swing by?

Hey, I'm from Wittlich and I haven't heard from this car show yet. Do you have more details?

To be holding a car show during an event, we need some judge to be doing this.
The active people so far are pretty much tight up with the organization and trying to squeeze in a few runs for themselves.
Give me really reliable and objective people and a schedule and it is a go in the future.

Here is the info on that car show...

More info to follow:

Quote:
I found it in Chrome & Flammen magazine. It is in a little town just east of Wittlich. I have the magazine at work and tomorrow will dig it out and send the name of the town. Usually, you just show up, advanced registration not needed. Just like "Cars are the Stars" in Ktown.

Yeah those drag radials were pretty chewed within about 50 meters of running. And another thing that is nit mentioned much , is that sticky tires on the back and street tires on the front = big time push when turning at speed.
Not trying to discourage you or anything , but DR's are not the proper tires to be competitive in slalom and road course duty. The side walls are too compliant for this. This is what gives the DR the edge in straight line 1/4 mile racing.
