Hi,,,I mean it as a pun and in fun, I know you stang guys have some pretty potent stuff and it would be a very close call on some modded vettes versus some of your modded stangs.

I am mostly into road racing thanks to Roy's influence, and I would love to see a few more stangs at Hockenheim this year.

Nope, not yet, but I guess it'll be the usual winter times, 1000h - 1600h.

Roy and the rest of the folks here, thanks for welcoming me. I like to see diversity on these web sites, I invite anyone to join the Corvette forum as well. A lot of us have had different cars in different parts of our lives to include an 1987 IROC-Z myself, supposedly lurking in K-town with some guy named Ed Roelle or Rowell. Has a RHS Magnum Special complete forged race engine with blower pistons, port matched intake, comp cam, heads were something heavy duty but I forgot and bronze valves and a Paxton blower, Roy helped me put in the blower the first time. If anyone has seen it I would like to know its fate, it brings back many memories. It is red.

Please join and particpate in conversation at the Corvette site as well, we all help each other out in the end with all of our combined knowledge.

You will love Hockenheim, it is a real blast. You get to test your individual driving skills in another way.

PS...I did smoke Ray, and he swore I had over 500hp when I did it, in which case I did at the time, I was in raceing form for the track now I am only running under that...not sure how much, mostly stock for now, but before I was dialed in Swizterland at Heinz Roth Racing (Home of a Euro Callaway Vette) at 510 on a load dyno simulated via a laptop.

Ciao,
Nick

I may show up just for fun. I have never done anything like that, so It will be something new for me. I have to agree with Roy, has to be dry, and above freezing.

500HP simulated via a lap top? Hummmm, sounds impresive. Not me. I just have a litte rust stang with a few bolt ons...so it should be easy kill for you.

Im game.....are you?

Naz

PS. Ray had a supercharger....I dont.

yeah, a wet and cold track is no fun either 1/4 miling or road racing, heck event the bahn is no fun with these cars in that kind of weather.

You will have fun and probably get hooked once you hit Hockenheim, it is addictive especially once you get to use that american V8 and its torque against other european cars at the track and see yourself pull away at just a jab of the throttle and it is constant, almost full throttle the whole time.

I am sure yours is plenty fast though,, Most of the time it is driver skills and I suck getting off the line in a 1/4 mile race, always spinning at those kind of starts and I am still trying to get back my 1/10 - 3/10 seconds at every turn at hockenheim that I lose when I am racing, even with about 450 laps, I guess I really suck...haha, but it is fun. Hope to see you out there and hope the weather cooperates.

Ray sold his SVT and is getting something that starts with a Rousch....some time soon, shhh, I never told ya.
Nick

Yeah, he is in the market for something else. I known Ray since we were stationed together in Berlin back in the 80s!

Have you seen Ray or heard from Ray lately? Do you know when he is getting his other stang?

I just looked at yuot sig, pretty impressive stuff you have there. I guess I need to head over the Mightymustangs forum and check out it for a while.

I talk to Ray about once per week. We always keep in touch. He comes to my place at least once per month and drink a few brews and talk car!

I dont want to spill his beans but he should be ready with his new ride for MAR-APR with o/a 600RHWP.

My mods? Ah....I guess that I was not paying attention and allowed the "attach sig" checked! Nothing big. Just a few bolt-ons. This is just my Hoopty.
