I am trying to get a professional tuner to come to Germany and tune our cars.

Jeff Creech is a well known and respected tuner of LSx and LTx vehicles. He has been on the show pinks and is well known throughout the community. If you do a search on LS1TECH.com you will find plenty of information on this guy.

If you want proof of what this guy can do then just click this link and read the threads: http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/search.php ... id=1847863

I have not solidified anything yet because I need to get 20 people to commit to this event and then I will start taking depostis to make the reservations.

This is a great opportunity to get custom and professional tunning for your vehicle.

Thanks.

Vehicles covered:
NEW!! 2005 LS2 Corvette and 2005/2006 GTO
1992 - 1997 LT1/LT4 (Corvette, F-body, Impala SS, Roadmaster, Fleetwood)
1997 - 2005 LS1/LS6/LS2 (Corvette, F-body, GTO, Caddy CTS-V)
1996 - 2000 GM Trucks, SUV, Van (4.3, 5.7, 7.4)
1999 - 2006 GM Trucks, SUV, Van (4.8, 5.3, 6.0)
2004 Chevrolet SSR
Other GM "chip" based cars and trucks from 1985-1995, call for a complete list. (Includes all Chevy, GMC, Pontiac V8 Rear drive vehicles, and many others.)

UPDATE:

Jeff Creech is more than willing to make the trip. In order for him to do this we need to get 20 cars that are willing to pay the following for a tune (prices are $70 above his normal costs in the US in order to cover his plane ticket):

(These are the prices if 20 cars show up)
1) $370 (US) for bolt on cars (headers, etc)
2) $470 (US) for cam, heads/cam or blower cars
3) Dyno Facility Fee is 1500 EURO for two days, this means about an additional $100 unless we get more cars involved (20 would be ideal).

Bottom Line: it is going to cost $470 for a bolt on car and $570 for a highly modified car. Remember, it sounds like a lot but this is a top notch tuner, like having LPE show up.

What is provided: Full dyno tune to get your vehicle running at max performance, this includes adjustments to A/F, Shifting, MAF, etc... (He will be using HPTuners). Jeff is able to adjust any of the parameters you can imagine. I personally will be getting him to tune my car to run well on my 3500K Fuddle Torque Converter.

DEPOSIT: We are going to recquire a $350 deposit once we get 20 people who say they are interested. We can do this via paypal and money order. I will start a new thread when I see that we have a good chance of getting 20 people involved to pay deposits. The deposit is to ensure people actually show up since a lot of work and coordination will go into this.

Lets get 20 cars, he said he can come anytime starting mid-July or later.

Directly from Jeff Creech:

Quote:
Howdy everyone, Robby pointed me to this thread, and yeah this would be a hell of a road trip.

As for cars I work with, yes, most GM's, and anything with an aftermarket fuel management system.

For the guy with FAST, yeah, unless you've got serious complaints or want some hands on training with FAST, then if you're having good success doing it yourself, then just come and hang out, no need to pay me. (Most of my FAST/DFI customers are guys who don't want to mess with it, they want me to set it and forget it.)

As for the benefits of tuning a stock car, I'll be really honest (which is why I have a good rep, I don't blow a lot of smoke and make a lot of false claims) there's a lot of GM cars that are pretty well tuned from the factory. The LS2's are an example of cars that are held back big time, and we can make a lot more power and make the cars so much more fun to drive. Automatic cars are a another set of stock cars that benefit, because I can make the trans shift so much better for you.

Fan temps, CAGS, etc, all good reasons for any car to be tuned, but maybe not enough to put you on the list, I understand. Definately come and hang out though if we can get this off the ground!

Any other questions please, just let me know I'll monitor this thread and if you want to email me privately at jeff@carolinaautomasters.com that's cool too.

Please check out the website http://www.carolinaautomasters.com I've not updated it in way too long, but there's still some fun pics and things on there.

Take it easy, I hope to see you all soon!!
-jeff

I imagine we would need 15 cars with a max of 30 so that we could get through them all.

Someone needs to post this at the European Vette forums.

I think our biggest hope for getting enough cars is going to be if we tap into the vette community.

Unfortunately I don't know where they hang out.

This is all I know.

no point in me getting a tune right now. Not enough done to my engine for it to matter, but I would like to turn off CAGS and the Air Pressure Sensors.

Original post updated, if we can get 10-15 cars together this is doeable.

Good opportunity to get Hawk's car running the way it should.

Jeff Creech is REAL good. Wonder if he works w/ FAST systems? Even though it 's pointless for me since I got a stand alone unit I'd still be interested to see what he gets out my setup vs how I tune it myself.

I'm down. Wonder if he touches other cars besides GM, Fords etc? We could hit up the SRT-4 guys and the Import crew as well even though I know the import crew goes to Belguim to get their dyno tunes performed.

Sorry guys, but that is a bit over my pay-grade. My car is stock anyway. No point. I'm going to be there though, if nothing else just to have a good time. You can count on that.

FAST GTO got me lost on the price. Can you find out what all he'll do? Like I said the other guys from the other clubs may be interested as well. K-town cruisers has some GM and Oval guys lurking on their as well.

Jeff uses HPTuners along with a wideband sensor.

http://www.hptuners.com/

Technically Jeff will be able to tune most GM vehicles including the Cobalt SS and many of the trucks GM produces, though I am sure he doesn't get many requests to tune those types of vehicles, but I may be wrong.

General - Supported Vehicles
• GM Gen3 V8 Support
• GM Gen4 V8 Support
• GM V6 Support
http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2936

Bottom Line: it is going to cost $470 for a bolt on car and $570 for a highly modified car (this includes all fees including renting the dyno for two days). Remember, it sounds like a lot but this is a top notch tuner, like having LPE show up.

This price is only good if we get 20 vehicles.

in the moment i´m driving a 1994 LT1 Trans Am Automatic. The only thing i modified is a hooker catback system and a K&N FIPK.
Is it interesting for me, to make a custom tune? How much hp will i get?
Stuttgart is far away from me, is there a cheap place to sleep?

Jens

There are different theories as to the benefit of getting a dyno tune on a near stock vehicle but I would say that a majority of people will admit that a dyno tune even on stock vehicles is beneficial, especially on automatics.

With automatics you can change shift points, pressure, etc...and set different operations for WOT versus cruising.

With you exhaust work I am sure he can adjust your timing and spark to take advantage of the better flowing exhaust.

Most people I have seen with stock vehicles get a 15-20rwhp increase as well as a big difference in driveability. At the end of the day any professional tuner will tell you that peak HP is not the goal, the goal is driveability and power under the curve.

I asked Jeff Creech to post in this thread when he has time.

;)

I can't answer your question about Hotels, though I am sure you can find something cheap. If you are military you can stay at the Patch Barracks post hotel.
