Okay, over the last 24 hours we already have 10 people who are willing to take part in this event starting in mid July.
With that said I am going to shoot for a date of 14, 15, 16 JUL.
Location is Stuttgart, and the deposit that will be recquired is $350.
Prices are as follows assuming we have 20 cars:
(These are the prices if 20 cars show up)
1) $370 (US) for bolt on cars (headers, etc)
2) $470 (US) for cam, heads/cam or blower cars
3) Dyno Facility Fee is 1500 EURO for two days, this means about an additional $100 unless we get more cars involved (20 would be ideal).
Bottom Line: it is going to cost $470 for a bolt on car and $570 for a highly modified car.
I will start taking deposits on 17 JUN via Money Order or Cash.
If Jeff Creech takes paypal that will be another option.

I guess I am # 1. C'mon guys this isn't easy to get accomplished. Don't talk about it be about it!
I'll have the $$ whenever you need it. Guess it's time for me to start working in the cold. LOL! The only reason I don't make it is if I don't have my harness for the XFI. Won't be for a lack of a engine.

sounds good to me, even if we can only get ten cars I'd be willing to pay a higher price for a good dyno tune. Im not far form you so when you need the deposit let me know we'll set something up.

He won't lock your PCM, getting a copy of the stock file is not a problem, and I bet neither is the tuned bin. Just bring your own memory stick.
So are you in?

Well, after a great initial response it looks like this is losing steam. Thought the vette community would be all over this but apparently not.
Jeff offers mail order tuning for $250.

Hey...I figure I post something.
We pulled off SCT for a whole weekend! Covered all the fees and the dyno including a nice "thanks $$" for the dyno operator.
Its expensive, 1500 EU for dyno fees and such but well worth it.
I did not get my hoopty tuned since I have the SCT PRP and I handle all my tuning needs but I did organized the whole thing and I tell you that it takes lots of planning and coordination.
The hardest portion is getting people to commit but belive it, a dyno tune is well worth it!
You guys are looking at a one time opportunity, specially for the local national folks. There is nothing like a modified car that runs great and strong!
Take mine for example (not to talk smack).
Idles like a stocker
Handles traffic like a stocker
I get over 275 Miles per tank (on a modified Mustang that is lots!!!)
Does not over heats, sputters, misses, smokes, anytinhg.....and the best parts is? o/a 600+RWHP!
Dyno tuning your car is the best thing you can do after you spent all that cash modding it!
Naz

We all know Naz is right, we just need people to realize that a dyno tune is worth as much as any other mod you can do. Unfortunately people look at the price and think it isn't worth it because they aren't getting anything 'PHYSICAL' for their money when in fact you are getting something that ties together all of the mods you have done to that point.
But like I said, if we can't get the corvette community involved then I don't think we are going to get the necessary number of vehicles.
I have already said I am willing to organize this, but the longer this takes the further back the date is pushed and the more likely we are to miss the race season on this.
Thanks for the words naz.
And for those who havn't realized this yet, Jeff Creech is an outstanding tuner I have had no problems with him and his mail order tuning. In fact, my car is running perfect right now, with his mail order tune my AFR was perfect when I went down to Stuttgart. My STFT and LTFT's are also perfect, and this is from an H/C with full exhaust via a mail order. Imagine what he can do on a dyno.

Yes it would've been nice. But the real fact of the matter is not a lot of guys on FBE mod their own cars other than basic bolt ons. There is a handfull of members here that do their own work or go beyond and have internal work done by friends or a shop so in their eyes I am guessing they don't warrant a dyno tune. You'd be suprised how much LT header will through off a stk tune because those primairies change everything believe it or not and you'll gain a lot more area under the curve by getting it dialed in. That's just one example but as I said some are not really understanding what a dyno tune can do even for a stk car.
I tried this a couple of years ago and got about as far as you did but not as far so I was really hoping to see this one go through. Thanks for the effort!

For those wanting something physical to go with the tune.
Perhaps I can help out. If Jeff leaves the tune unlocked anyone interested in learning more and being able to change things a little for themselves can use a full copy of efilive.
Stock tunes (and some modified ones) are available here http://www.holdencrazy.com
I can do a super special price for members interested, this would make a good match with Jeff's custom tune and an excellent learning weekend for those who decide to attend.
Let me know if this is helpful or not.

I do not want to give up on this issue, but unless we get more cars involved this isn't going to happen.
